Pawlenty Health Plan "Could Be Really Bad For Minnesota"

Representative Tom Huntley (DFL-Duluth) says Governor Pawlenty's proposal to change state law and allow insurance companies from other states to sell in Minnesota "could be really bad for Minnesota". Rep. Huntley says Minnesota already has low-cost, high quality health care. The DFL Representative is in Washington, DC learning more about the national health care reform bills that are working their way through congress. Rep. Huntley says Governor Pawlenty's plan doesn't help those who are losing General Assistance Medical Care (GAMC) a program the Governor line item vetoed last year. The good news is the federal health insurance reform plan may pay for a good portion of covering that program.
