00:07The United States remains prepared to play a constructive role to achieve that outcome
00:12and to facilitate talks between Moscow and Kyiv.
00:17Our commitment to peace in Ukraine is unwavering.
00:23Finally, I must point out that there is a member of this Council
00:28that will feign moral outrage and pretend to lecture the rest of us about every topic,
00:34whether it's about the very conflict we're discussing yet again today
00:40or even those unrelated to international peace and security, like human rights.
00:46That is why we walked out during France's intervention.
00:51This disingenuous grandstanding is tiresome,
00:55but we have tolerated it out of a sense of camaraderie and mutual respect as P5 members.
01:04We have stood by this member state through every conflict in which their freedoms have been imperiled,
01:12and today I remind them that it is the United States that remains the beacon of liberty for the world.
01:20As such, we will not be affording them the benefit of listening to their politicized drivel
01:26until they renounce their condescending and disrespectful rhetoric
01:31and behave in a manner commensurate with their seat on this Council.
01:36I thank you.
01:37I thank you.
01:37All right.
01:43You
