00:00Oh, qué pregunta.
00:01I know, dang.
00:02Thank you.
00:03It's like therapy.
00:04Yeah.
00:05Ooh.
00:07I mean...
00:08We're going there today.
00:09Yeah, we really are.
00:11I love these questions.
00:11So deep today, you know.
00:13Diving right in, I like it.
00:14The greatest lesson that I learned over the course of doing Shang-Chi, that was my first
00:19time doing a big movie.
00:20That was my first time working with Marvel.
00:22It's very tempting to feel like I need to go bigger, bigger, bigger.
00:27What I discovered over the course of that movie was that the most important part of doing
00:34these big movies is the heart.
00:36I gotta say that I admire you both as co-workers, you know.
00:40Everybody knows you as a couple or as individuals, but I think that you are amazing co-workers,
00:45you know.
00:45You admire each other.
00:46You grew up with this movie, so congratulations, guys.
00:57Well, guys, it's a pleasure to be here talking to you.
01:00I'm so excited about the movie.
01:02We just watched 30 minutes, so I can't wait for the premiere.
01:06I'm going to ask a direct question, so I'm going to start with you, Zendaya.
01:10You've become an icon for an entire generation at such a young age.
01:21And I think that you've handled that so gracefully, you know.
01:25Not only with your talent and everything that you have achieved, but also with the kindness
01:31and warmth you seem to carry on with you.
01:33I've always wondered when someone becomes such an icon at such a young age, what is harder?
01:40Being the person that so many people look up to or learning how to be that person for
01:46yourself?
01:47Wow, what a good question.
01:48I know, dang.
01:49Thank you.
01:50It's like therapy.
01:51Yeah.
01:54I think it's both, you know.
01:56I think you never, I never want to disappoint people.
02:00I never want to let people down.
02:02I never want people to think that I'm giving them a version of myself, but I'm not living
02:07by the things that I say or being honest or true to those things.
02:13So I really do hold myself to, I don't know, not like a standard or whatever, but I do hold
02:22myself accountable and sometimes a little overly critical, you know, and I can be a little
02:28hard on myself because I feel like whatever criticism I receive, I'm already giving it
02:36to myself.
02:37Like, I'm already giving it to myself 10 times worse, you know?
02:41So I think that that's definitely something that I've, you know, tried to be better at
02:46is just being a little nicer to myself and giving myself a little bit more grace because
02:51I feel like, you know, I try to extend that to other people, but sometimes maybe I'm not
02:55always the best at giving that to myself.
02:58And I think we all kind of in some ways struggle with that.
03:01So I think it's both.
03:02I think it's, it's wanting to be that person for people, but then wanting to live up to
03:07those things in real life so that I don't feel like a fraud, but then also just trying
03:14to live and be a human being and knowing that I'm not going to always get it right.
03:19And I'm not always going to, I mean, people are going to be disappointed in you.
03:22If it's part of living your life, you know, you're going to fuck up, you're going to
03:25make mistakes, and I hate when that happens, but I am still a human being.
03:29Yeah.
03:30Yeah.
03:30You're really something, you know?
03:31You're, I've got the chance to talk to actors, actresses, and you are like so humble
03:37with the fans, with the press, so it's an honor.
03:39MJ, yo...
03:40Soy Spider-Man.
03:43¿Qué?
03:43Eso ibas a decir que eres Spider-Man.
03:47No.
03:49No soy Spider-Man.
03:56No soy Spider-Man.
03:58And Tom, I love that this movie seems to explore the power of forgetting in such a deep and meaningful
04:04way, you know?
04:06So after playing a character whose greatest sacrifice was to be forgotten by everyone he loved,
04:13what did this story make you realize about the power of being remembered?
04:42Ooh.
04:43I love that, where you'll just leave those memories and move forward and allow a relationship
04:45to grow.
04:46And in this scenario, in this movie, no one, not a single person on the planet, has memory
04:52of this individual and he's really suffering for it.
07:30Sí,
07:31hay algunas de las
07:33más grandes,
07:34más acción
07:35que he sido una parte
07:36de este filme,
07:37pero lo que estoy más orgulloso
07:39fue el trabajo muy intimo
07:40que estos actores
07:42y nuestra escena increíble
07:45hicieron en escenas
07:47que son realmente
07:49humanas,
07:50muy, muy humanas.
07:51Bueno, chicos,
07:52mi tiempo ha llegado.
07:53Feliz de verte de nuevo.
07:55Y,
07:56congratulations
07:56por el filme.
07:57¡Gracias!
08:12¡Gracias!
08:25¡Gracias!
08:26¡Gracias!
08:27¡Gracias!
08:27¡Gracias!
08:28¡Gracias!
