06:18and wound himself around Squire's neck.

06:22but Squire bravely stuck out his tongue

06:26Afraid, the serpent slithered away,
06:29and Squire didn't even have to use his sword,

27:06Very recently, a group of people gathered together in Toronto, and they did some very special readings.

27:14Hey, PJ Ashman here, reporting from the Queen's Park Legislature Building in Toronto, Ontario.
27:19We have a fun day planned for today.
27:21Everyone is encouraged to bring in a book they've already read and to exchange it for another.
27:26Many celebrities are here today as well.
27:28Let's take a look and find out what this book-sharing event is all about.
27:33Share a Story is a festival of reading and storytelling.
27:36Everyone brought a book they had read that exchanged it for another.
27:39Families were encouraged to spend 15 minutes a day reading together.
27:44Milo Mulroney and Arlie Pearlie Ray helped organize the festival.
27:47Many friends came to help, like Lamb Chop, Rupert, and Fred Penner, who shares the stories by singing.
28:02From Mounties to Girl Guides, everyone has a favorite story to tell.
28:06I asked some of the kids to share their favorites.
28:10How about yours?
28:11The secret garden.

28:14Well, I like the secrets they find in it, like the garden behind the wall and when the girl finds
28:26the room.
28:28Milo Mulroney and Arlie Pearlie Ray are more than wives of politicians.
28:31They are mothers who are very concerned about reading, so they organize the first Share a Story festival.
28:38What is the Share a Book program about and why did you get involved in it?
28:42Well, both of us, as you pointed out, we're both moms and we're both working moms.
28:46And we think that reading is very important.
28:50And Arlie and I, our paths cross quite often at dinners and, you know, things that our governments share.
28:59And so what we do is we have a chance to talk and compare notes about what's going on.
29:03Education is very important to both of us.
29:05Well, we both hope that there are more book exchanges.
29:08People have books in their basements, in their bedrooms, in their living rooms that they're not reading,

29:23Yes, I'd like to tell them that if they have books in their homes that are gathering dust,
29:29they can drop them off at any McDonald's and we'll see that they'll get into good hands.
29:33And so try and encourage reading.
29:35I'd like to tell everyone, too, to buy books and use your library.
29:38Borrow books, buy books, give books as gifts and read them.
29:42Read with your kids and encourage them to read themselves.
