On August 26, 2020, a courageous grandmother intervened to assist a hawk found wounded in the middle of the road. Captured by Christian Bridges, the video shows his grandmother making a quick decision to stop traffic and help the distressed bird. After some effort, she successfully secured the hawk by its wings and placed it into her vehicle. Christian recounted, "While riding in the car, I spotted the flapping wings on the road and alerted my grandmother, who immediately turned around to rescue the large bird." He added, "Fortunately, we were able to help it. We transported the hawk to a friend's home and awaited the arrival of wildlife rehabilitators to take over care for the bird." According to Christian, the hawk is now recovering well.
