00:15Chris was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in December 2025 and was given six months to live.

00:24Chris went on to graduate from Harvard University
00:26before spending 35 years teaching in public schools.
00:30She retired in 2008.
00:32She welcomed Ben in 1972 and Casey in 1975 with her then-husband Timothy Affleck.
00:38The couple later divorced when Ben was a preteen.
00:40Chris is survived by her two sons and five grandchildren.
00:43Ben is the father of Violet, Serafina, and Samuel,
00:47while Casey has two children, Indiana and Atticus.
00:50According to her obituary, one of Chris's biggest wishes after receiving her diagnosis
00:54was to see Atticus graduate from high school.
00:56She was able to attend his graduation ceremony on May 31st, just days before her passing.
