00:01The Kuala Lumpur Sessions Court was told on Friday that PNB had transferred
00:0720.3 million ringgit to Fashion Valley in two separate payments in 2018.
00:14Maybank Jalantun Razak Branch's assistant manager Shamsia Moussa testified that PNB's
00:20bank records showed a payment of 11.95 million ringgit to the fashion e-commerce company
00:27on June 4, followed by another transfer of 8.36 million ringgit on December 20.
00:34She said the first transaction was carried out through a bank form submitted by PNB and
00:39processed over-the-counter, while the second transfer was conducted online by PNB directly
00:45to Fashion Valley's public bank account.
00:48The second prosecution witness in the Fashion Valley criminal breach of trust trial said
00:53both transactions were processed according to banking procedures.
00:58During cross-examination, she agreed that there were no restrictions imposed on the funds transferred
01:03from PNB to Fashion Valley.
01:06The court also heard that the transfers were made through accounts with authorized signatories
01:11and did not require additional verification from Maybank.
01:15Fashion Valley co-founders Datin Vivi Yusof and Datuk Fadzaruddin Shah Anuar are facing charges
01:22of criminal breach of trust involving 8 million ringgit in investment funds from Kazana National
01:29Berhad and PNB.
01:31They are accused of transferring the money from Fashion Valley to 30 Maple Sandirian Berhad without
01:37approval from the company's Board of Directors in August 2018.
01:42The trial will continue on August 17.
