Every morning at Karwan Bazar, Dhaka, a bustling floating fish market takes over the active railway lines and surrounding tracks. Hundreds of sellers and buyers gather right on the rail line to trade, completely exposed to incoming trains. As trains pass through this overcrowded area daily, sellers barely clear out in timeβcreating a life-threatening security and safety hazard.
This awareness video by RRBD highlights the extreme risks of running markets on live railway tracks. Rail lines are meant for safe train movement, not public markets. We strongly urge everyone to prioritize safety over convenience and strictly avoid railway track trespassing to prevent tragic accidents.
