00:05welcome along thank you for joining us at this remarkable stadium in Dallas USA coming up later
00:13the Iberian rivals clashing here thousands of miles from home under the roof in this
00:20fabulous stadium at this World Cup the first meeting of two teams ranked in the top five
00:28by FIFA both with live chances of lifting the trophy itself Bastian Dankoff is the man this afternoon
00:37it was a 3-3 draw in a group game in 2018 that was a thriller and it was a
00:43brilliant game last
00:44year that nation's league final which portions athletically he can handle it he's all you
00:50about here in great form tries his luck early on and why not Portugal caught out with possession
01:00I mean you know that's it right across the face of goal hello wants to hit it why not whistles
01:08over
01:09the bar not really close would my lap port a tree oh my always beautiful football here from Spain
01:19and doesn't take the chance this time the football there was glorious the finish wasn't important work
01:30there his Cristiano Ronaldo thought about the job didn't he the Cristiano Ronaldo the angle was difficult
01:38got a decent effort away Mike
01:40I mean you are we use that back up with 2006 and going back in the midst of time
01:53as Nuno Mendes Rodri with a beautiful ball here's Yamal on that left foot of his needed beating away by
02:04Aina
02:05oh what a brilliant save brilliant save from Diogo Costa
02:14this is what I alluded to early on
02:20Yamal Pedro Pardo good defending quick recovery speed the first is that Cristiano Ronaldo is just
02:28standing on quite spectacular ones as well oh that's nearly in for Kubasa who is in an
02:35offside position when it's played back in anyway flag does go up again there's that ability yeah so I
02:43think that it would have got ruled out academic now it's an interesting one for sure Ronaldo
02:57Yamal Omo got into a great position again
03:03Lamine Yamal went for that gap they know he wants to work it onto his left foot and that time
03:07they stopped
03:08him doing it a lot of defenders can't that's a good release ball though to Vitinha
03:17hold up roll here he is now
03:24Netto's cross it's good looking ball Felix played it in and flipped towards goal by Cristiano Ronaldo but grabbed
03:32by Unai Simon who remains unbeaten and at a moment unbeatable Felix is hurt
03:42well theatrics all over the place Jean Felix does a great
03:46wants it back again it's on his left foot as well he can let go here he does it's the
03:50underside of the bar
03:51deflection on it as well wow that is an escape for the Spaniards
03:58almost run it back and then Pedro Borra then Yamal with a brilliant piece of work he's so evasive how
04:05about that
04:05an argument not a little local argument it's on the world stage
04:10Yamal again going down looking up well not even hopeless Cristiano Ronaldo
04:26Yamal Nuno Mendes with the way
04:30Rodri
04:32doesn't score many
04:34six minutes out of time
04:36left of this first half
04:38Joao Neves towards Cristiano
04:40it makes Spain even harder to play against Pedro Borra with a lovely ball
04:44Lamina ball good defending flag up anyway
04:54flag was up Ian but really good timing and connection between Pedro Borra and Lamina
04:58Ma can tell he's a yard off before penalties by the way Diogo Costa the
05:02Portuguese goalkeeper it's got a bit of a reputation of being a penalty-saving
05:07specialist
05:12it's Neto with the right kind of ball no it isn't quite
05:21he threw for him as it is his Cristiano Ronaldo on the ball
05:30physio giving to the bench there well I just saw someone run over to the bench and take their bib
05:34off so it looks like he's gonna be
05:37substitute nice turn good idea Ronaldo can he get there try to hook it goalwards he was on the stretch
05:44again
05:44he was on the stretch again
05:48here's for the second time will you take him on this time
05:54Felix is doing a really good job in supporting
05:56so Spain
05:58picking him apart and then Pedri
06:03took a deflection will be a corner
06:06because of an injury
06:08Portugal do not get that away
06:10by Cancelo not far enough
06:12and then behind there again
06:17Felix is doing
06:18and that's why Felix has
06:21got the job Pedro
06:22Paro
06:24Yamal against
06:25Semedo
06:27play on
06:28when he's in the mood
06:29which is not always
06:32so
06:33very interesting to watch that
06:35I mean Yamal this time Anthony Taylor does give the free kick
06:41he knows he's a
06:42he knows he's a
06:43he's much easier when you know there's just one player hitting it
06:45you can react accordingly
06:47it is
06:48Laminya Ma
06:48he's gone for goal
06:50it's a
06:51routine save really
06:52for
06:53Diego Costa
06:54taking
06:55no chances
06:58Olmo
06:59gets the ball in behind
07:02Laminya Ma
07:03oh no
07:04it's not the blind
07:05player
07:07appeal for
07:08half ball
07:09and then Fernandez
07:10lashes run
07:11into the side netting
07:12he's the kind of player who could pull
07:14that kind of chance out of the back
07:16it does well
07:18tries to work with Leo
07:19but that hasn't worked
07:20Laminya Ma
07:21Danny Olmo
07:23it's why I keep talking about him
07:26his Torres
07:28because
07:30looking for the reverse ball
07:31Danny Olmo
07:32difficult angle
07:34it's a brilliant bot
07:36by Ruben Diaz
07:37who
07:38another Spain corner
07:40taken by Yamal
07:41goalkeeper
07:43he's coming back in again
07:46yeah
07:47double bank marking even
07:48Cristiano Ronaldo
07:49Torres here
07:50cuts it back
07:51cross the face of goal
07:52and again
07:53not a white shirt
07:54to put it in
07:57Martinez
07:58Laminya Ma
07:59again
08:01Torres
08:02tries to play
08:03Cristiano Ronaldo
08:07it looks like
08:08Mikel Moreno
08:09also preparing to come on
08:11now for
08:12Danny Olmo
08:19your mouth is fine
08:22strong isn't he
08:23possession squandered
08:25Merino
08:25who is a scorer
08:27of big goals
08:28of big goals
08:29in his career
08:29I wonder whether
08:31he might have a part
08:32to play
08:36both teams know
08:37anything that happens
08:38this late could be
08:39decisive
08:41Rodri
08:42Rodri
08:43free kick
08:47unnecessarily given away
08:52lovely ball through
08:54and there it is
08:58Spain
08:59Miguel Moreno
09:01score out of big goals
09:03and he's
09:04looks like he's settled
09:05this one
09:09a goal
09:10to break
09:12the heart
09:12of Cristiano
09:13Ronaldo
09:14and the hearts
09:16of all the
09:16Portuguese fans
