You need to have level 10 fishing skills with Advanced Iridium Rod. You also need to purchase both Trap Bobber and Lead Bobber to facilitate fishing from Willy's Shop at Pelican Beach. Now head to the northeast of Stardew Valley (The Mines), which is next to Robin's house and enter the mine. Inside the mine, use the elevator to go down to level 100. At level 100, go to the right until you see a large pool of lava on the right side. Cast your rod at maximum level towards the right into the lava pool at any time and any season including raining days. To catch the Lava Eel, you need to be very patient, and you will catch trash items and beverages most of the time before you can catch one of the eels. Just keep on trying until you catch it.
