Transcript
00:00Here's the young fellow that's the number one all-around cowboy in Australia for the Australian Rough Riders Association.
00:05They, the Canadians, and our American cowboys in the PRCA work hand-in-hand to keep pro rodeo what it
00:10is today.
00:11Neville McCarthy.
00:13Look out, boys. There it is. Okay, he came in here with a 9-2. That's a 4-1. There's
00:18your winner, Bob.
00:19Neville McCarthy from Australia with a 13-3 wins the Bulldog in Reno.
00:24All right. I'd like to see the Australians get a little bit of this money.
00:27And Pamela's going to find out what it's like to let money leave the state.
00:31This is the episode.
00:32Neville McCarthy, the winner of the Cowboys Steer Wrestling.
00:35You were also the Australian all-around champion cowboy and just came over here.
00:39How long have you been in the state?
00:41Two weeks now. Today, we flew in two weeks ago.
00:44You're giving these American cowboys a run for their money.
00:47How have you had to contend with the different arena situations and getting mounted on horses?
00:52Have the cowboys been pretty receptive to you?
00:53Yeah, getting mounted on bulldogging horses has been really good.
00:58I'd like to thank Alan Jordan for his great team.
01:00I think it's probably one of the best teams in the world.
01:03As for calf-roping horses, I find it pretty hard to get mounted right.
01:08But the arena condition and everything is much the same, barriers and everything.
01:11And it works pretty good if you think right.
01:13Well, you're sure giving these guys a run for their money, but good luck and welcome to the United States.
01:17Thanks very much.
01:19I'm sure that Jimmy Stewart, the secretary of the Australian Rough Riders, is very happy
01:22because Neville McCarthy is a winner of the Bulldog and Jimmy Cooper, Chris Liberty, and Dennis G.
01:26They win money, too.
