00:00And we have an update, Craig, at least we thought we did this morning, on where is LeBron James
00:06going to go? Boy, that has been a big topic of conversation, and most people woke up today to
00:13see that, well, the Miami Heat site there looks like they were getting ready for some sort of
00:20press conference on July 27th to announce LeBron James in a Heat uniform, except
00:28everyone's saying, yeah, that was not supposed to happen. Is that an oops, Craig, or what do you think?
00:35No, I definitely think that it was a mistake, but I am very skeptical of this story. This is a
00:43very
00:43weird one for me, Joe, because I get it that social, and I've seen social media teams make mistakes and
00:50do
00:50things like this, yes. And I think, for me, if this happened the day before, then I'd be okay with
00:59it. But they posted it as if it was going to happen, not today, or not even tomorrow. Like,
01:07it was just strange that they were getting ready for a YouTube video days in advance. So,
01:14for me, Joe, I don't know, man. Look, I don't think there's anything to it. I think they were trying
01:19to
01:19get ahead of it. But the unfortunate part, and we have to be honest with ourselves here,
01:23is that because of the invent of prediction markets on Calci and Polymarket, not the betting
01:28markets, but the prediction markets, that you don't want to say anything salacious happened,
01:33but we've seen so much salacious stuff happening with this sort of stuff that isn't possible.
01:38And I don't want to intimate this and blame anyone, but the questions that are being asked,
01:44let's put it out there, is that could somebody got ahead of the prediction markets here that was
01:51involved in this and basically got this number way up and got out on LeBron James going to Miami,
02:00because we don't know if he is or not. We have no idea. And it's lingering way long than it
02:04should.
02:05It's annoying at this point. So, all somebody would have had to do was just do a little Fugazi there,
02:11right before the Fugazi, put in that LeBron James, you know, make your investment on Calci and Polymarket
02:17and then get out right before. Now, here's the thing, Joe, if that was the case, and let's assume
02:23the worst, that that is what happened here, that somebody was in on it, somebody just wanted to
02:29move the market in the prediction markets. Wouldn't it be fair to say that that person would get caught,
02:33correct or incorrect? Wouldn't they catch that person doing it? Okay. Yeah. So if that is the
02:40case, how long would it take to catch that person? Is it now? Is it tomorrow? Is it next week?
02:46So
02:47whoever did it, if they were involved in that is pretty stupid, because they're probably going to
02:51get caught. So this all takes me back to the beginning of the story, which tells me probably
02:55an honest mistake. Can't be that stupid to make that big mistake like that. And in my opinion,
03:00but I don't understand it. I don't understand it, Craig, because, you know, as somebody that has
03:08done quite a bit of work with the back ends of social media and YouTube and those types of things,
03:14it was my understanding that Miami comes out and says, oh, it was the social media department,
03:22because this wasn't some sort of announcement of it. They posted a link to what it was going to be
03:29a live feed for the announcement here. And they were for next week. And there's absolutely no
03:38reason that you would have to prepare that that part of the process. Yes, I agree with the back end
03:46of YouTube that you would need. Oh, man, we got just in case we just got to make sure that
03:52that live
03:53link is it. No, you can do that an hour before the press conference is getting scheduled. So
03:59right. I am right. So I'll tell you this. A simple link like that simple link posted for an hour
04:07and oops, pull it off was enough to make the markets go through the roof. Craig, to your point.
04:13Right. So my my thing is, is that the date is the reason why I think either something funny was
04:20going on there or just a legitimate mistake, because if LeBron was definitely going to Miami
04:27and Joe, you said it right there. If if that was happening, that date would have said tomorrow
04:32or the next day. It would it would have been correct because then you would say, oh, they're
04:37getting ready to do a LeBron James press conference if it's tomorrow, the 23rd, the 24th. But the fact
04:42that it was the 27th, you're 100 percent right. Who needs to go on to prepare for for a next
04:48week
04:49press conference like that doesn't it doesn't add up. It doesn't make sense. So, you know, for me,
04:55it's all not knowing that, you know, I covered LeBron when he was here for a little bit. It's not
05:00like I really got to know him. You put a microphone in somebody's face. It's not it's not
05:03it's like saying that I know Michael Jordan because I interviewed him once, too. But but knowing this,
05:09my guess is he's probably enjoying all this. You know, I'm guessing that he likes being
05:14the center of this. I got no idea where he's going to go. We talked about it yesterday. I'm
05:21rooting for the heat. Of course, that's what I'm rooting for. I'm rooting for the madness back here
05:24again in South Florida. But what does my head say? My head say my head says pick somewhere we're not
05:32expecting because he has made choices through the years that none of us expected going to the heat in
05:39the first place, leaving the heat to go back to Cleveland. OK, great. Leaving Cleveland again
05:45to go to L.A. now leaving L.A. not to retire, but to go somewhere else. The simplest path
05:51is never the
05:52path that this guy takes. So put me in for Philadelphia. Put me in for Golden State.
05:58Put me in for the Spurs, you know, like some random team out of nowhere that we haven't been hearing
06:04about that. We hear that Wemby, you know, wanted LeBron and they had dinner and that's why it got
06:08done. That it seems like that's the direction this guy always goes.
