00:51assassin allegedly enlisted by Vice President Sara Duterte. This is revealed by NBI
00:56Vice Director Melvin Matibag as he testifies before the impeachment court Tuesday, July 22.
01:13In his testimony the day before, Matibag told the impeachment court the Bureau has yet to identify
01:18the alleged hitman but found persons of interest that may lead to the hitman. On Tuesday, he gives
01:23more information predicting the Bureau will identify Duterte's alleged hitman within three to six
01:28months. Matibag also says the NBI is looking into the possible involvement of uniformed men
01:34and members of the Vice President Security and Protection Group.

01:54Senator Judge Rafi Tulfo raises a complaint that minority senators have been given longer
01:59speaking time in their interjections during the impeachment trial.

02:38Still, despite Tulfo's concern, Senator Judge Pia Cayetano continues to exceed the time limit,
02:43despite the bell ringing. Male senator judges seated in the back row take the buzzer from Annika
02:48and place it on their table, joking about pressing it themselves. Senator Judge Aimee Marcos also goes
02:54beyond her allotted time, and Tulfo stands up and presses the buzzer himself.
03:02Philippine Foreign Secretary Maria Teresa Lazaro raises a long list of Manila's grievances against
03:07China. This during the first foreign minister meeting between Manila and Beijing in two years.
03:12Lazaro raises the following in her meeting with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi.
03:17First, the Philippines' strong protest over the violent actions committed by China Coast Guard
03:21personnel against Filipino Navy personnel at Ayungin Shoal. She also raises concerns over actions
03:27that infringed Filipinos' maritime rights and entitlements, including affecting the safety
03:32of Filipino personnel and fishermen. Lazaro also calls for the removal of remaining structures
03:36in Bajo de Masinloc. She also says during the meeting, quote,
03:40disagreements over legal and political issues do not justify resorting to disturbing imagery.
03:46The DFA earlier condemned a July 10 AI-generated China Daily video portraying Filipinos as monkeys.
03:54U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio says the United States is still willing to negotiate an
03:59end to the Iran crisis, but Tehran is not serious about talks. This as the widening conflict disrupted
04:05two of the world's most critical energy choke points. Rubio makes his comments in a meeting of
04:10Southeast Asian foreign ministers a day after three oil tankers carrying Saudi crude to Asia
04:15reversed course in the Red Sea. This apparently in response to threats from Yemen's Iran-aligned Houthis.

04:32The Houthis, who control the coast at the mouth of the Red Sea, announced a naval blockade
04:36on Saudi Arabia on Monday. With Iran threatening shipping through the Strait of Hormuz, the Red
04:41Sea has become Saudi Arabia's main alternative route for millions of barrels of oil exports each day.
04:48U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth says the cost of the U.S. war in Iran has risen to $37

04:54billion so far. Hegseth faces skeptical lawmakers at a hearing in Washington to seek urgent funding
05:00for the conflict, the first time since the heavy bombings in Iran resumed. Hegseth tells lawmakers that
