00:10Where do negotiations with Patrick Kane stand in terms of you and the Blackhawks and Kane are coming back?
00:16And what, if anything, changed about a shift philosophically in being willing or interested in bringing somebody back who represents
00:25so much of the past?
00:27I didn't hear anything about that Chelly interview.
00:30I haven't heard that at all.
00:35You know, again, I think it goes back to my previous comment is, you know, we're looking to improve the
00:43roster.
00:43We're looking to get better. We're looking to continue to take steps.
00:47And, you know, adding is, you know, some offensive talent is essential to that.
00:54Now, you know, I don't necessarily think it's productive for me to advocate one way or another or kind of
01:02disclose anything publicly.
01:05You know, I think Patrick knows where we stand, you know, and his understanding and the path we've taken over
01:13the last number of years
01:15has been something that was obviously communicated to him when he was here last time.
01:19And, you know, I think everyone was just in a different place at that time in terms of what we
01:25were looking to accomplish,
01:26what he was looking to accomplish.
01:27But, you know, as of now, it's, you know, kind of, you know, it's, again, Patrick Kane's seen as a
01:37Blackhawk.
01:37We feel he's a Blackhawk for life.
01:40He knows where we stand on it.
01:43And, you know, it's the player's right to make these tough decisions and decide where he goes and kind of,
01:51you know,
01:52both professionally and from a family standpoint.
01:55And so we're going to leave him to that decision.
01:58But, again, we've got such a great deal of respect and care for Kane that, you know,
02:07I think it would be, it would be, I'd be derelict in my duties to not at least consider the
02:17option
02:17and to explore the possibility.
