00:00AJ, is there, like, numbers where you have to say we're going for it?
00:05And are there numbers back where you have to say we're not?
00:08So we haven't gone there yet.
00:10You know, I think it's important to realize, like, what you just said.
00:13Like, Boston rattled off 14 straight wins to get to that record.
00:17We rattled off a bunch of wins.
00:19We won some series.
00:20And then, you know, every loss feels like a big deal.
00:24You know, we lost a one-run game in Anaheim the other day.
00:27We could have swept and said we won two out of three.
00:29I've never really complained about winning two out of three in a series in my career.
00:33But all of a sudden, it feels like, oh, you let one get away from you.
00:37And so, you know, I think there's obviously this is a win total exercise.
00:41The playoffs are a win total exercise.
00:43You've got to get to a bunch of wins in order to factor in.
00:47Now, the wild card has changed that a little bit.
00:51But, you know, the decisions at the end towards the deadline and what you're doing
00:55and what's available, like, I try to keep all that stuff out of the clubhouse
00:59and even away from me so that I can focus on what my job is,
01:03which win as many games as you can, win a bunch of series.
01:07We are, you know, a crazy intriguing team because I think we,
01:11like I've said a number of times, we're a good team with a bad record.
01:14And that often complicates decisions that come around these deadlines.
01:19We're a good team with a good team with a good team.
