00:09It happened at a Cubs game in Chicago.
00:12Bob Chavez, a Vietnam vet, chastised the young dude sitting in front of him.
00:17I was telling him, please stand up, you know, have some respect.
00:20And when he stays seated, boom, Chavez smacks him on the back of the head.
00:26The guy looks stunned, but he stands.
00:28Other fans speak up in his defense, but Chavez is unrepentant.
00:33He snarls back at them.
00:36Now social media is lighting up with both praise and condemnation.
00:40Absolute patriot goes one comment.
00:42Grandpa knocks some sense into him goes another.
00:45But then there's this.
00:47That's assault.
00:48As much as I agree with the older gentleman, we don't hit other people.
00:52Maybe it could have been like a, hey, bud, stand up kind of situation.

01:10I mean, we fight for the rights of the people, and that's one of his rights.
01:14Then later on during the game, next thing you know, he's buying me a beer.

01:19We shook hands.
01:20I overreacted.
01:21I could have handled it better.
01:23I wish I would have.
01:25But my feelings are still the same.
01:27People should stand.
