00:00TSMC obviously taking this step because it needs to to fund its ambitions, right?
00:05How will it impact the spenders?
00:07TSMC is reacting well, but I can't imagine it's good news for everybody.
00:12Yeah, I mean, I think obviously this is going to put upward pressure on NVIDIA chips and maybe on Apple
00:18products.
00:19I've obviously seen recently Apple put prices up.
00:21So, you know, we're still living in an inflationary environment.
00:23So, yeah, ultimately, I think perhaps one way we'll see this is maybe some more upward pressure in the capital
00:29spending budgets for the hyperscalers.
00:31We've got Google reporting late this week and definitely CapEx will be one of the items that people are focused
00:37on.
00:37So I think that's kind of how it will perhaps initially kind of flow through.
00:42And ultimately, maybe the end consumer is going to have to bear higher costs, whether that's through hardware costs or
00:48through the cost of using AI products and services.
00:52Obviously, we've seen a lot of upward pressure on token costs for corporates and some of them have been pulling
00:58back.
00:58So there's going to be potentially a bit of a squeeze there between how the likes of, say, OpenAI and
01:03Anthropic can price their products and the rate at which customers adopt those products into their businesses.
