00:00So I've only got a few minutes to show you guys this new Rolls-Royce Spectre so I'm going to
00:04show
00:04you basically how you start the car and how you get in it because it's pretty unique experience.
00:12The first thing you'll notice is the door it doesn't open the normal way because this is a
00:16Rolls-Royce and it's all about access it assists you every time I push the door it's opening
00:21and we've got to quickly talk about this umbrella because you know Rolls-Royce
00:25on us we've got to talk about Rolls-Royce umbrellas and then I'm going to get in the car I'm
00:30going to
00:30say goodbye by pressing the brake pedal. I'll catch you inside.
00:36I want you to jump in and have a look at the headlining. So we're upgrading we're not doing
00:41star headlining but we're shooting stars and eventually these things will literally shoot
00:45across the roof of the car. Quickly on the color of the interior this is Charles Blue with a mandarin
00:51stitch and it's pretty out there but I think it really works on this car and I have to talk
00:55to
00:55you about this dashboard because it is actually fairly minimalist they haven't just slapped a
01:00whole bunch of stuff onto it heaped buttons and switches but we'll start on the left hand side here
01:04you've got the spectre badging this thing lights up which is pretty cool this amazing piece it's like
01:09one piece of wood and I'm sure this is very expensive you've got your clock you want your clock
01:14with your Rolls-Royce and your Goodwood logo a nicely sized screen I have to say it doesn't have those
01:20big iPad screens but I actually think that's really classy and it's just so cool where everything
01:24is in an arm's reach and just so tactile and nice to use and of course there's a lot more
01:30to explore
01:30on the interior of the Rolls-Royce Spectre but we're short for time and we've got to take this thing
01:34for a drive because you have to see how this drives it is like a capsule
01:44so how does the Rolls-Royce Spectre drive well this might be the easiest car to review
01:52that I've ever reviewed because it is so calming the outside world ceases to exist when you're
01:59driving this car it is exceptionally quiet exceptionally comfortable the suspension is just
02:06like as good as it pretty much gets in any car and one of the interesting things is it has
02:11no drive
02:11modes so you kind of just drive and it figures it out for you it can use things like satellite
02:16to know
02:17what road you're on so it knows if it's twisty it can stiffen things up a little bit and when
02:20you're
02:20around town it's just like an absolute couch I mean that's the best way to describe it it is
02:26better than a first-class lounge as far as I'm concerned it's like
02:29so easy interesting things standout points I mean the steering wheel is quite unique it's
02:36massive I mean I don't even know how big this thing is it's got to be about 45 50 centimeters
02:40and it's actually surprisingly dynamic it's a big car it's heavy it's got batteries it's like five and
02:45a half meters long but it is sharp through the steering wheel you know exactly where the wheels are
02:50going you know exactly what you have to do to get it through the corner and it pretty much will
02:53just do
02:54it for you there's no drive modes as I said so you take a corner it does it you don't
02:58even feel it
02:59and that's the Rolls experience bringing the car up to speed has never been easier it's got stupid
03:06power I mean you put your foot down and it's like how does a car this luxurious this heavy move
03:12like
03:13this car does I'm kind of lost for words driving a Rolls Royce kind of should leave you like that
03:20you just
03:20get in it go to your destination get out on the other end it kind of feels like you haven't
03:25done
03:25much in between except sit in what is basically a couch these windows must be so damn thick because
03:34I cannot hear a thing
03:37and the last thing to do with a Rolls Royce is to not got to rush those
03:40$20,000 wheels and I've managed to do that so
03:45you
