00:03long. How do you describe the feeling of seeing it take a life of its own and
00:07kind of be as successful as it has been? It's a weird balance of like letting go
00:11of control of a thing that's just been ours and like which is hard to do but
00:15also a huge relief. And it's kind of like a baby in the sense that it gets report
00:20cards doesn't it? Like it gets... Just like babies do. Or like kids do. Like it gets
00:25judged all the time and I have to personally not read them because it's
00:30too much for my brain. But people like yeah they have ownership over it. They're
00:34like they feel a certain way about the characters and it's amazing. That's one
00:39of the things we thought about when we sat down to write season two is like
00:41people are gonna have opinions and expectations about what the show is, what
00:45it should be doing and that sort of stuff. So we wanted to be respectful to that but
00:49also never pander to that. Yeah. So we wanted to keep kind of pushing and also to
00:54make it interesting for us and fun for us. Yeah we didn't want to just do the hits
00:57again at all. Yeah. The show is often described as a rom-com but I guess in a
01:02sense it's very unique and has its own kind of Australian nuances with the you
01:06know the awkward moments and the Aussie banter. How would you guys describe it
01:11being you know set apart from your average rom-com? We'd call it a
01:15relationship comedy. Yeah. Just because it does it's not Dahmer and Greg is it? It's not...

01:25Rom-com. Mad about you. Yeah. But Australia's never done one. And this is not that.

01:37rom-com. We never really set out to hit the tropes of a rom-com. It was just like
01:41what's funny? What feels real? I think we're kind of like we just want to see more real
01:45people on TV. Less less people that are so kind of shiny and perfect. My favorite
01:51episode probably of last season of season one was episode seven where they
01:54just both are a bit shit like he was a weird host she was mean to him and they
02:00like they weren't perfect you know and I had this great fight at the end as well
