00:00This one's for everyone who has feet that are different sizes. If your feet are the same size,
00:03scroll away. Or maybe you don't, because it's actually quite common. And I have the receipts.
00:08Receipt 1. A US study of nearly 7,000 people found that not a single person had two feet
00:13that were exactly alike in size or shape. Receipt 2. A UK analysis found that almost
00:18one in five people have feet that differ in length by a fifth of an inch, which doesn't
00:22sound like much until you realize that that's about half a shoe size in the US and UK.
00:25So what causes this? Some of it is just normal human asymmetry, but your feet can also change
00:31over time, like during or after pregnancy, when ligaments loosen and arches can flatten.
00:35Or if you consistently load one side more via sports, dance, or an injury, that foot can
00:40build a slightly different structure. But if a foot suddenly changes size, swells, hurts,
00:44or the difference is dramatic, you might want to talk to your doctor.
