02:31walk into for this year's G1 Climax Oscar, a man who walked into Dominion, I
02:37WGP Heavyweight Champion, and had to enter Chicago, Illinois without the title in his hand. Is Cal
02:43um Neumann's destiny to win G1 Climax this year and hold back that I
02:47WGP gold? Calum Neumann believes it is.
02:50I think he's gonna struggle through this whole G1. I mean, he was on top, basically, before Domin
02:55ion, and then got injured, lost the title, barely made it into the G1.
03:02't know, does not 100% to me. So fighting through all that in G1 is definitely gonna be
03:06a task. And to come out on top will be very, very hard.
03:09Because even if you're 100% fit, it is very difficult. If you're not 100%, well, good

03:49You can definitely see, since joining the Empire, he's definitely changed a lot. It's gotten so, I wanna
03:55say arrogant, and it changed his look as well. I mean, the hair's getting longer, and, you know, looks
04:01pretty good. Not as good as my hair, but...
04:02Oh, well, there you go. I think there's a lot of conversation regarding arrogance in United Empire. Calum
04:08Neumann certainly has gotten more arrogant, and arguably a really proven athlete now as a former IW
04:14GP Heavyweight Champion.
04:15But a man who has never before won a G1 Climax Tournament, Calum Neum
04:19ann looks to do what Will Ospreay couldn't do at the ripe age of 23 years old.
04:23I mean, I always like to compare things to how they were before. I remember wrestling Calum, and at
04:29That point, the great Okan in Tag League a few months ago.
04:33And compared to wrestling in the cup, that is a different person. So much more arrogant confidence that comes in
04:39hand-in-hand, and it's tremendous growth in that one.

04:486. Calum Neumann squares off with Dick Togo, if you believe it.
04:52Calum Neumann certainly can't believe it. Neumann wants nothing to do with this, and
04:56let's not pretend that Calum Neumann wasn't using tactics like this.
05:00He's using a lot of House of Torture-style antics, if you will, during his reign
05:03as Heavyweight Champion.
05:04Well, he's a tremendous athlete. He's gotten actually pretty big in the gym, too. He's put on
05:09a lot of muscle, and also been cheating a lot.
05:12So that is a sure way to remind things, and I think that's what makes him successful.
05:17Yep. No doubt about it. Well, yeah. Ren Narita certainly going to play things the House of Torture
05:24way.
05:24Dick Togo wants Calum Neumann, so you cannot underestimate Dick Togo, one of the finest
05:29athletes in the sport today
05:30I mean, Dick Togo, I think it's now over 30 years in this business, wrestled, I think,
05:36accompanying Dr. Garth,
05:40and you can never let him out of the ice, or he'll just have any roll-up you
05:43I've never seen it before.
05:45Yeah, Dick Togo, a phenomenal athlete. Don't exactly appreciate the company that he keeps in House of Tort
05:50ure, but I digress.
05:51And it's Calum Neumann right into the rear chin lock, and we keep the action rolling
05:55right here.
05:56Four points on the board for Calum Neumann. Picked up a victory in Chicago.
05:59Back over Yuya Uemura, and I'd argue that is a big mental victory for Calum
06:04Neumann,
06:04because if he would have lost his first, knowing that injury that he has to that shoulder, Oscar,
06:08I think it would really hurt Neumann in the long term of this tournament.
06:10That's right. Also, beating the guy that he faced in the New Japan Cup final, Yuya Uem
06:16ura.
06:17Having that on the first night, out of the way, very good, very good.
06:20For any of the detractors of Calum Neumann that said that Neumann's
06:24New Japan Cup final win in 2026 was a fluke,
06:26and he was able to put that to bed with that victory in Chicago, Illinois.
06:29So, Neumann managed to get that duck on that night.
06:33And, of course, the forfeiture of Shota Uemura now puts four points tied with yourself
06:37in B-Block.
06:38And it's going to be interesting. I really want to get your thoughts on both Calum Neum
06:41Ann and Ren Narita.
06:42You already had your match with Narita back in Chicago, but Neumann, a match that's coming
06:46up for you very, very soon as well.
06:47Yeah. Well, you can see both athletes, both wrestlers, very great in their own ways.
06:53Like, as you can see right now, the teamwork and just the sheer ring presence that Ring Narita has.
06:59At every point, he knows where his members are. He knows where his opponent is.
07:02And he'll find some cheeky way like that to use the outside of the ring, the inside of
07:07the ring, his group.
07:10Oh, well, he did that to my leg. That sucked.
07:14Calum Neumann, I mean, for the injury to that shoulder, Ren Narita certainly knows his way
07:18really around every joint, every hole that you can hope to find.
07:21And let's not forget the type of man that Narita was before House of Torture.
07:25I mean, all the comparisons that were made between Ren Narita and Katsyuri Shibata
07:28at a point in time.
07:29Narita's a phenomenal technician, and if he wants to pull it out against Calum Neumann,
07:33he still has the tools in his arms.
07:35Yeah. I don't know, a few days ago in Chicago, he was just, I mean, also molesting my
07:40leg.
07:40The day he was on it so much, and even when there's times where you think, all right, now
07:46it's House of Torture coming, he can still pull it out.
07:48He had some great submissions in there that were really hurting, and, yeah, I do not recommend wrestling him with
07:55House of Torture or even by himself.
07:57Because you, after the match, as you can see right now, he knows exactly where the point is served, and
08:02he'll just keep on beating that part down.
08:05That is a lot of pain for Calum Neumann in that left shoulder, and Neumann
08:10's calling for a timeout here.
08:11There are no timeouts, especially with Dick Togo at ringside.
08:14Going to put that shot to the shoulder and going to take another here.
08:16Oh, that is a brutal, brutal feeling for a guy who had, what, bleeding on the bone did Calum
08:22Neumann.
08:22Oh, living a laundry list of injuries to that left shoulder from his match with Tsuji and Div
08:27inia.
08:27Once again, I am very glad to have Narita out of the way.
08:30As you just saw, even when you think you have a timeout, have a breather, a few seconds.
08:33He'll turn around, the referee will be distracted, and Dick Togo is going to be on your ass.
08:41It is Calum Neumann and Red Narita who will be going toe-to-to
08:44e, a first-time-ever singles matchup that's coming up in Blackbeak.

08:53And Red Narita is looking to do all within his power to try and get a victory over Newman

09:19As Newman going to take the tag in the corner, here comes Vayne Zane Jay.
09:23And a diving elbow right off the top for Zane Jay.
09:26And this is a big opportunity for Jay, who gets to play support for all the members of United Empire
09:31in this year's G1 Climax Tournament.
09:34And Zane Jay has really got to be the new guy, trying to keep things together.

09:41I mean, I'll tell you this, Zane Jay every now and again just pulls something out that shows,
09:46hey, he is retaining some of what he learned in the no-game dojo.

10:03You don't just suddenly forget all that if you join a different year. That has maybe other tactics.
10:07If anything, it adds to your arsenal.
10:09Yeah, no doubt about it.
10:11And Zane Jay is going to look to, well, hold on a minute.

11:44We'll see how Calum is going to feel with that arm against Nerita.

11:51I mean, there are, it seems like every time we turn around there's another new member of the house

11:56And there is always going to be someone, another plan, another member in the back pocket of Ren Nerita.
