00:59We talked all the time, we hung all the time, talked about everything from sobriety, life, music.

01:10We had kind of gone down very similar paths in our personal life,
01:14and he just was an absolute light.

01:19Payne's family were consulted before the show's release.
01:22His sister Nicola posted online saying,

01:39Host AJ said taking part was an opportunity to be honest about some of the challenges of the industry.
01:44It was a breath of fresh air to be able to give a little bit of insight and a little
01:48bit of knowledge.
01:49You know, we were kind of the guinea pigs, you know,
01:53dealing with managers that were double dipping,
01:57label having complete control,
01:59and really just kind of grinding us to the bone.
