Check out this heart-stopping moment a homeowner accidentally captures the instant a towering tree crashes to the ground during a powerful Arizona monsoon.
Vanessa Ogle, from Glendale, Arizona, USA was filming outside her home when the storm brought down a tree that had been breaking apart for months.
The video shows fierce winds whipping through the neighborhood, bending nearby palm trees before the 30-foot tree suddenly splinters and crashes toward the home.
Vanessa can be heard screaming in shock as the massive tree slams to the ground just yards away, narrowly missing parked vehicles and the house.
She later revealed she had been worried the damaged tree would eventually fall, fearing it could have crashed directly into the family's living room.
Vanessa said: “This tree has been breaking apart all year. If the wind had blown the other way, it would have fallen into our home. I've been so scared about it and even made sure we had renters insurance because it would have hit our couch where we always hang out.”
