Gibraltar, a self-governing British territory at the southernmost tip of the Iberian peninsula, is home to only about 40,000 people but relies on some 15,500 workers who cross from Spain every day.

00:01Good news for the thousands of people who travel every day between Spain and the tiny British territory of Gibraltar,
00:07as they will no longer have to cross a physical border.
00:12Border checks had long been a source of tension and frustration,
00:16but were lifted after a deal was reached between the EU and UK.
00:20Spain's Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez hailed the new arrangement and said it brought down a wall inside the EU.
