00:14in just one week. Now, the shift could mark a reshaping of sorts in how ICE carries out
00:20immigration arrests. Under the updated guidance, agents would generally no longer pull over
00:25vehicles they suspect to have immigration violators inside. The exception would be
00:29cases involving criminal warrants, and even then, agents would be expected to work with
00:33other law enforcement agencies during the stop. The two deadly incidents include the shooting
00:37death of a 26-year-old Colombian man during a traffic stop in Maine after the agency said
00:42he tried to run them over with his car. Days earlier in Texas, agents fatally shot a Mexican
00:47man during another vehicle stop. The Daily Wire, which first reported the new guidance,
00:51quoted an ICE source who complained that without the traffic stops, immigration arrests could
00:55drop significantly. The Department of Homeland Security did not immediately return the post's
01:00request for comment or confirmation of this new policy.
