00:00U.S. President Donald Trump says the U.S. will reinstate its blockade of Iranian shipping
00:05in the Strait of Hormuz and will charge fees to keep the waterway open.
00:09This as the U.S. military carries out a third consecutive night of strikes against Iran.
00:14The U.S. Central Command says it began strikes after Trump said Iran would be
00:18quote, hit very hard tonight and we're going to hit them hard tomorrow.
00:22He later tells reporters at the White House that the U.S. was attacking Iranian capabilities in
00:26the Strait. Soon after, the UAE Ministry of Defense also says Iranian cruise missiles struck two
00:32Emirati oil tankers while passing through the southern lane of the Strait.
00:35Trump says the U.S.A. will be from this point forward known as the guardian of the Hormuz
00:40Strait but as such and as a matter of fairness will be reimbursed at the rate of 20% on
00:45all cargo shipped.
