00:00Did you meet Elvis?
00:01No, I never met Elvis.
00:02That's incredible to me.
00:03There was a Chobis journalist, I can't remember his name, very famous at the time.
00:07And he took the Beatles in Los Angeles to see, to visit with Elvis.
00:15And there's pictures of this, they went up to Elvis's house and his pool and-
00:20They walked in and he was playing bass, watching TV, playing bass, but they were all high.
00:27The Beatles were high and none of them have their story straight.
00:31None of them can remember-
00:32They don't remember anything.
00:33I remember John telling me, you should never meet your heroes.
00:39I would never meet Elvis, Mick, if I were you.
00:43That's fascinating.
00:44And so I didn't, I took John's advice, which is really stupid of me really, but I would
00:50love to have met Elvis.
00:51And he told me that all this story more than once.
00:55And so it sort of put me off.
00:58So I wanted to keep my Elvis to myself, my version of Elvis.
01:04And so I didn't want my version of Elvis shattered like John's was, but maybe my Elvis version
01:09would have been different.
01:10different.
