00:00Did you know that the Thing from the Fantastic Four is not made of stone?
00:03And I can prove it to you.
00:04Just look.
00:05Even though the 2005 Fantastic Four movie says that the Thing is made entirely of stone,
00:09his internal organs are completely solid.
00:11How bad is it?
00:13You know I used to smoke.
00:15The truth is that whoever did that didn't know anything about the character or the comics.
00:19The Thing is one of the strongest characters in Marvel's canonical roster.
00:22No one can deny that.
00:23To withstand several blows from the Hulk and still remain standing,
00:26he clearly needs to be made of a very durable material,
00:28which leads us to believe that his body is made entirely of stone.
00:31But that isn't true.
00:32In a Fantastic Four comic, Wolverine gets into a fight with the Thing.
00:36Because of his adamantium claws, the Thing ends up suffering a deep cut.
00:39At that moment, we can see what appears to be raw flesh beneath the thick layer of stone.
00:43And later, we can see this even more clearly when a large layer of the Thing's rocky exterior is removed,
00:48revealing all of his internal organs made in the same way.
00:50That really is an incredible Thing.
