00:00President Trump is sharing new details about what turned out to be his final conversation
00:04with Senator Graham. Here he is recounting that call on Meet the Press Sunday.
00:30Well, we're going to get it done, Lindsay. We're going to get it done. I'll see you soon. We thought
00:33we might even meet today. As for that trip, one of Graham's final public appearances came just
00:39one day before his death while he was in Ukraine. There, he had toured a top-secret drone factory
00:44where Ukraine builds its vampire or Baba Yaga bomber drones, which have become a critical part
00:49of Kiev's war effort. In one of his last public statements, Graham said the United States should
00:54learn from Ukraine's rapid advances in drone warfare, calling it a huge mistake not to
00:59cooperate more closely with the country on the technology. He also met with Ukrainian President
01:04Vladimir Zelenskyy and had just reached an agreement with the White House on a new Russia sanctions bill
01:09before returning home. Graham's death also came just days after he publicly dismissed Iran's threats
01:15against his life. The senator had been targeted, along with President Trump, in calls by Iranian
01:20hardliners for assassination following the death of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. Graham brushed off
01:26the threats, making clear they wouldn't change his support for Israel or his hawkish stance
01:30toward Iran. In the end, the man who spent decades shaping America's foreign policy was remembered
01:35by allies at home and abroad as one of the Senate's most influential voices on national security.
