00:00We're learning new details about the murder of an American mother in Ireland,
00:03including a possible financial dispute with the man police now believe killed her.
00:08Investigators say 43-year-old Jamie Carney's boyfriend, 28-year-old Ahmad Al-Sakir,
00:14allegedly asked her for the equivalent of about $5,700 just a week before her death.
00:19Carney reportedly told a friend about the request. Not long after, she was found dead inside her home.
00:24Irish authorities believe Carney was beaten and then suffocated in her bed.
00:27Her boyfriend, a Jordanian asylum seeker, is now wanted for questioning.
00:32And that may prove difficult for police since they think he fled Ireland through Turkey just hours after the killing.
00:38Investigators are now examining Carney's phone records, text messages, social media accounts,
00:42and bank records as they try to piece together what happened to this poor woman.
00:46The couple had been together for about a year and a half after meeting at a pro-Palestinian rally in
00:50Ireland.
00:51According to a former roommate of Al-Sakir,
00:53The suspect claimed the two had participated in an Islamic marriage ceremony earlier this year,
00:58and he'd even posted a video of Carney wearing a ring with the caption,
01:01My bride and my princess.
01:03Carney's mother and sister have now arrived in Ireland to care for her 13-year-old daughter
