06:18Every weekend he would head into the forest with a hammer and break open rocks to see if there was

06:31So about 150 kilometers from the city of Winnipeg, there is a vast forest called Whiteshell.

07:23Two strange looking UFOs are descending from the sky.

07:28Both are glowing red like fire and look like long cigars.

07:33But as they descend, their shape changes into that of a flat disc.

07:38One of these UFOs hovers above the trees for a few moments.

07:41Then it suddenly zooms back up and vanishes into the sky.

07:45But the second UFO continues to descend, landing smoothly on an open rock about 50 paces away from Steven.

07:53Now something happens that is very important to note.

07:55After landing, the UFO's red glow begins to fade slowly.

08:00First it changes from red to orange.

08:02Then from orange to gray like the color of iron.

08:05This matters because that is exactly how hot iron cools down.

08:09First red, then orange, then gray.

08:12The meaning is clear.

08:13The object that had just landed on that rock was as hot as fire.

08:17And Steven had seen it change colors with his own eyes.

08:21He becomes frightened by what he sees.

10:46This is the first moment when Steven is truly afraid.

10:50Not of the object, but of the air he was inhaling.

10:54And just then, he hears some sounds from inside.

10:58These sounds belong to strange creatures.

11:01Very low and in an unknown language.

11:03Steven was scared.

11:04But he still thought that perhaps this spacecraft-like thing had crashed here.

11:08And someone inside was calling for help.

11:11After which, standing outside that open door of this UFO-like object,

11:15he called out loudly, asking if anyone needed help.

11:22Then in German, Italian, French, and Ukrainian.

13:44He has a nine-year-old son who gets terrified upon seeing Steven's burned body.

15:04That Steven had come into contact with a highly radioactive object.

15:09Following this, doctors called in an American specialist in radiation treatment to treat Steven.

15:15And when that doctor treated Steven, he said that Steven had been exposed to so much radiation that if he

15:20had stayed near,

15:21that UFO, for a few seconds longer, his death would have been certain.

15:26After this, Steven underwent treatment for a long time.

15:29And gradually, those burn marks began to heal.

15:32But then, another terrifying incident occurred.

15:35Just a few months after these marks healed the same, radiation burn marks began to reappear on Steven's body in

15:41the exact same spots.

15:44Doctors administered one medication after another.

15:46But none of the medicines worked.

15:48Now, after several months, the doctors realized that these marks reappeared on their own at a fixed time roughly every

15:544 months.

15:56Dozens of doctors from Canada and America examined him.

15:59But no one could understand what this illness actually was.

16:03During this time, Steven's case caught the attention of government investigative agencies.

16:08Now, the Canadian police, Canadian Air Force and even the US Air Force all joined forces to solve this one

16:13case.

16:14So much investigation takes place that the case file grows to nearly 300 pages.

16:18Among these investigators was an officer named Paul Viskey, a high ranking officer in the Canadian Air Force.

16:24He did not believe Steven's story at all.

16:27But one day during the investigation, when Viskey finds the same rock where Steven saw the UFO,

16:33he notices a large circular marking there.

16:37Right at the exact spot where that UFO had landed.

16:40The investigators take soil samples from there to their lab.

16:44And when the results come back, everyone is shocked.

16:47A substance called radium was found in that soil.

16:50Radium is a radioactive metal that glows on its own in the dark.

16:54Its levels in the soil were so high that the lab officials declared the entire area dangerous for humans

16:59and advised closing it off.

17:02This meant there was now solid evidence backing up Steven's story.

17:06In the end, when Viskey wrote his report, he too had to acknowledge three things, seeing Steven's illness,

17:11his burn marks, and that circle formed on the rock.

17:14There was no explanation for any of these.

17:17Which means possibly Steven really did see a UFO that day, that day.

17:21After this investigation, the matter quieted down for some time.

17:24But exactly one year later, on around the same date when Steven had first seen the UFO,

17:30Steven returns to that same rock and finds two glo- metal rods in a crevice below.

17:38Investigations reveal that both these rods are actually silver and are also coated with radioactive material.

17:45And where did these radioactive silver metal rods even come from?

17:49Was this a broken part of that same UFO?

17:52Well, the world and Steven never got the answer to this question because the Canadian government classified all the investigation
