00:00This is Sabrina Duran Montero, a well-known TikToker in Chile who, just a few months before
00:05she was killed in broad daylight, became involved with one of the most dangerous drug cartels in
00:10the country. In October 2023, Sabrina was killed in the southwestern part of Santiago after
00:17allegedly angering the leaders of a ruthless drug cartel because of her TikTok videos. But
00:23this tragedy actually began back in May 2022. At that time, the investigative police of Chile
00:30conducted a large-scale operation that resulted in the arrest of Sabrina and her siblings due to
00:36their involvement in an illegal syndicate operating in the city of Padre Hurtado. Aside from being a
00:43TikTok personality, Sabrina was also one of the leaders of an organization involved in the sale,
00:48distribution, and collection of illegal substances. In the area of La Pintana, their group is at war
00:55with another criminal syndicate. Because of the intense conflict between the two groups,
01:00the once peaceful community became dangerous. The residents lived in fear because violence could
01:06break out at any time in any corner of their town. Because of this, the government of Chile launched
01:11a large-scale operation against the criminal groups. More than a hundred detectives were deployed to carry
01:17out simultaneous raids on various streets, houses, and suspected hideouts. Sabrina during the raid on
01:24various streets, houses, and suspected hideouts of those involved in drugs. While Sabrina was trying
01:28to escape as she took her first step toward the back of her hiding place, she was immediately caught.
01:34While serving, she was charged with cases related to the sale and distribution of illegal substances,
01:40but her imprisonment seemed to be the first step toward her own death.
01:46During her nearly three-year sentence, Sabrina became even more popular on TikTok.
01:50She gained over 610,000 followers using the account Katrina Guzman, which is believed to be
01:56inspired by the surname of the well-known drug lord, El Chapo Guzman. She also used other names like
02:02Lina and TikTok Narco Queen, which clearly refer to her life as a drug trafficker. Up to now, many people
02:10are still wondering how she managed to keep her TikTok account active even while she was in jail.
02:15But it seems she had her own way of doing this. Not only that, she also tried to escape from
02:21jail
02:22after breaking the window on the third floor and jumping out. But her plan failed and she was brought
02:28back inside the prison. After she was released under supervised probation, she became a full-fledged
02:34social media influencer. She often showed expensive jewelry, designer items, and a luxurious lifestyle
02:41in her videos. In the eyes of many people, her life seemed happy and successful. But what most people
02:48didn't know was that Sabrina knew she had become a target. As she became more famous, her supporters
02:54celebrated even more her double life as a Narco Queen and TikTok celebrity. Because of this, her connection
03:02to the world of illegal activities was also exposed, and it even became an inspiration to some young
03:08people who admired her luxurious lifestyle. Because of this, she became a target not only of her rivals
03:15and the Chilean government, but also of some people within her own organization. There was only one clear
03:22conclusion for many. Sabrina Duran Montero had to be eliminated. On the day of the incident, Sabrina was on
03:29her way to a nail salon when she was blocked by three armed hitmen. She was forcibly taken out of
03:35her vehicle before being attacked repeatedly. According to reports, she was shot eight times.
03:41A witness even managed to capture the incident itself. In the video, you can see the once confident
03:47Sabrina lying on the road, gradually losing strength due to her injuries. After the attack,
03:53the perpetrators took her vehicle and burned it several miles away from the crime scene.
03:58She was rushed to the hospital in an ambulance, but due to her severe injuries, she passed away before even
04:05reaching the hospital. Up to now, no one has been arrested in connection with Sabrina's death.
04:10The Chilean police also cannot determine the exact motive behind the crime. She may just be one of the
04:17hundreds of victims of the relentless violence caused by drug cartels and gangs, a reality that is often not
04:23fully shown in the media. Moit Moore
04:28On May 21, 2019, the Indian TikTok star Moit Moore was sitting inside a photocopy shop while scrolling on
04:36his smartphone. Moments later, two men wearing helmets suddenly entered. Without saying a word,
04:43they drew their weapons and attacked him repeatedly. Because of the sheer number of bullet wounds,
04:48even some of his teeth were shattered into pieces. When the police arrived, a horrifying scene greeted
04:55them. This tragedy was the result of two things, his popularity on TikTok and his connection to one
05:02of the most dangerous gangs in India. At 27 years old, Moit worked as a gym instructor in the small
05:09town of
05:09Najafgar Delhi. In addition, he was also a popular TikToker who gained more than 500,000 followers in
05:16just eight months. For most content creators, it's almost impossible to reach that number of followers
05:21in such a short time. But for Moit, that was just the beginning of his rise to fame. On April
05:283,
05:292019, the court in India temporarily banned the use of TikTok due to the alleged dangers it could pose to
05:36young users of the app. A few weeks later, the ban was lifted. However, there are people who believe
05:43that the negative influences brought by this Chinese-owned app should come to an end, and they
05:48started looking at its most popular influencers. Although Moit is not really considered a controversial
05:54personality, he has a huge influence on young Indians. He is known as a brave bad boy with a good
06:02heart, and that's also the personality he shows in real life. He strives to make each video better
06:09than the last. More emotion, more entertainment, and more reasons to watch him. In one of his videos,
06:16he got out of his car and gave his expensive shoes to a homeless man after the man's slippers broke.
06:23In his other content, he sings, dances, cracks jokes, and shows off his impressive physique,
06:31which is the result of intense exercise. He consistently maintains the quality of his videos,
06:37which is why thousands of people regularly watch him. Because of his popularity,
06:42he is often recognized on the streets. Wherever he goes in Najafgar or Dwarka,
06:48there are people asking for selfies. Many young women and men also want to be part of his videos.
06:54But everything changed when he got involved in a dangerous conflict.
06:59Moit helped a friend invest about 3 million rupees in a property sold by a well-known real estate
07:05broker named Mongo. On the outside, he was just a businessman with many legitimate businesses.
07:12But behind this, he was actually a well-known crime boss with many enemies.
07:16One of his biggest enemies was a drug lord named Dalal. Because of their intense feud,
07:24Dalal ordered the killing of Mongo to finally bring down his empire. But what he didn't know
07:29was that Mongo was not the real leader of the organization. There was someone even higher than
07:35him. A man named Pawani. After Mongo was killed, Pawani took over all his businesses,
07:43including the legal properties. One of those properties was the one that Moit and his friend
07:48used to rent. When it was time to pay, Moit failed to provide the 30 lakh rupees they had agreed
07:54upon.
07:55Pawani demanded payment from him firmly, but he refused to pay. According to Moit,
08:01he only owed money to Mongo, not to Pawani. Because of that refusal, Pawani made a deadly decision.
08:07He ordered the killing of Moit more. One of those who participated in the crime was an
08:13underage gang member from Delhi. According to reports, the young man had been pestering Pawani
08:18for a long time to accept him into the organization. He wanted to prove that he deserved to be part
08:24of
08:24the group. As a test of his loyalty, Pawani took him along with another armed member to look for
08:30Moit. When they found his location, they mercilessly showered him with more than a dozen bullets.
08:36A very gruesome scene was left behind, which was what the police found when they arrived at the place.
08:42In the end, the minor suspect was arrested and charged with first-degree murder. Meanwhile,
08:48Pawani immediately fled from Delhi, knowing that the authorities would do everything to capture him.
08:56Rodolfo Marquez. Rodolfo Marquez, also known as Fofo Marquez, is a controversial social media
09:03influencer from Mexico with millions of followers on various platforms. He was born on July 15,
09:101997 and grew up in a wealthy family. Although only a little information has been released,
09:16it is believed that his grandfather served as a personal chef to some high-ranking officials in
09:21Mexico. Meanwhile, his father was one of the owners of Total gas stations before he passed away.
09:28It can also be seen on his social media that he doesn't lack for money. He often posts about
09:33expensive sports cars, nights of fun at exclusive clubs with his friends, and a luxurious lifestyle
09:40that many people dream of. Because of this content, he quickly became known on social media and reached
09:45over 3 million followers on Instagram. Eventually, he also decided to join TikTok.
09:51where he also built a large fan base. But, along with his rise to fame, came a growing number of
09:57critics. Many people wanted to see him fall, but he seemed not to care. Because of his extreme
10:03self-confidence, he believed that no one could touch him. But everything changed when he accidentally
10:09crossed one of the most dangerous cartels in all of Mexico, the Yulisco New Generation Cartel,
10:15or more commonly known as CJNG. If you're familiar with the cartels in Mexico, you've probably already
10:20heard the name. But for those hearing it for the first time, it's important to know just how ruthless
10:27this group is. CJNG is one of the most dangerous criminal organizations in the world. They are known
10:34for extreme violence and extensive operations in drug trafficking, and the ruthless killing of anyone
10:39who stands in the way of their interests. In June 2009, the group left a message after killing three
10:45men and leaving their bodies inside a truck. The message read,
10:50We are the new group that will fight against kidnapping and extortion. We will fight these
10:57crimes in every state to create a cleaner Mexico. At first, the authorities in Mexico thought that
11:04this was just a small group that was part of a larger cartel. But it didn't take long for the
11:09CJNG to
11:10show its true strength as a warning to their enemies. But they killed 35 members of a rival cartel
11:17and dumped their bodies beside a major highway in Mexico. Behind this organization is the notorious
11:23leader, Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes, or better known as El Mencho. Because of his cruelty,
11:30many call him a demon in human form. He was born on July 17, 1966, to a simple family of
11:38farmers with
11:39six siblings. But as he grew up, he chose to take a different path, a life rooted in illegal activities,
11:47violence, and killing. He also went to the United States where he continued his criminal activities.
11:53But eventually, he was deported back to Mexico after he was sentenced for a case related to a gang in
11:59Texas. When he returned to Mexico, he joined the Millenio Cartel as an assassin. When the group split
12:06up, he joined forces with the Sinaloa Cartel branch led by Ignacio Nacho Coronel. There, he managed the
12:14illicit trade operations, the group's finances, and violent activities in several states of Mexico.
12:20After a few years, he completely took over a large part of the organization and gave it a new name.
12:26The Jalisco New Generation Cartel, or CJNG. Under his leadership, the cartel grew and became
12:34one of the most dangerous criminal organizations in the world. They have military-grade weapons,
12:41armored vehicles, and equipment that are sometimes mistaken as belonging to the Mexican army itself.
12:48In other words, they are not a group that should be taken lightly. So the question is,
12:53what did Fofo Marquez do to anger this powerful cartel? Like many TikTok creators, Fofo also made
13:00content every day to entertain his followers. But on July 7, 2002, he made a video that caused a huge
13:08controversy. He brought three luxury cars and deliberately parked them in the middle of the
13:14Matute-Remus Bridge in Guadalajara, Mexico. Then, he got out of one of the cars and started filming
13:21while the traffic behind him slowly built up. While recording the scene, he proudly said,
13:28We closed the bridge just for us. I want to show what money and power can do.
13:33He even boasted that he intentionally blocked the bridge for several minutes,
13:38just because he wanted to do it. While the trapped motorists kept honking their horns,
13:43he said he even thought about dancing for TikTok in the middle of the bridge,
13:48while innocent people couldn't pass. When he uploaded the video, it quickly went viral.
13:54Thousands of netizens expressed anger and disappointment at what he did. There was one
13:58user on X, formerly Twitter, who even called him a brainless person. Even the mayor of Guadalajara
14:05threatened to press charges against him because of what he did. It didn't take long before his TikTok
14:11account was permanently banned. TikTok immediately removed that video within just 48 hours, and Fofo
14:17completely lost access to his account. Since he could no longer make a statement on TikTok,
14:23he used other social media platforms to apologize to the public. He admitted that what he did was
14:29wrong and apologized to everyone affected by his irresponsible behavior. The mayor accepted his
14:34apology, but there was a condition. He was ordered to perform several hours of community service,
14:40including cleaning under the very bridge he blocked just to create content. He had no choice
14:47but to follow the order. But while the controversy was slowly dying down, an even bigger problem was
14:54waiting for him. That's when the CJNG allegedly got involved. While many thought the issue was over,
15:02it flared up again after a message sent to Fofo Marquez spread on social media. It came from an
15:09anonymous account named Gente con la nueva generación, which in English means people with the new
15:16generation. The message was written in Spanish, but this was its overall content. To all the citizens
15:24of Guadalajara, we are the Chalisco new generation cartel. As you know, the influencer
15:31Fofo Marquez dared to block the flow of traffic on the Matute Remus Bridge. We do not tolerate this
15:40kind of behavior. We will not let this person get away with it. We control Chalisco and even a large
15:46part of Mexico. Don't think you can come to Guadalajara and do whatever you want. If you set foot
15:53here again, even your money won't be able to save you from us. It was never proven who really wrote
15:59that
15:59message. But because of the CJNG's reputation, many believe that this could be a serious warning from
16:06people connected to the organization. Within the cartel, many members consider El Mencho as a leader
16:12who should be feared and respected. So for them, what Fofo did in a city they consider under their
16:20influence is not just a simple violation of the law. It is also a direct affront to the authority
16:25of El Mencho. Even though Fofo is very wealthy, there are limits to what his money can achieve.
16:32And that's where the power of the CJNG begins. According to various reports, the organization earns
16:39billions of dollars every year and its influence is widespread in different parts of Mexico.
16:45Because of this, Fofo became extremely afraid. He knew that if the cartel really wanted to kill him
16:52and silence him, almost no one could stop them. When the message spread, he finally understood the
16:59gravity of his situation. He knew that the threats from the CJNG were not just a joke. So he immediately
17:07apologized again and went home to his family's mansion to hide there. But is a big mansion really
17:13enough to keep him safe? His family hired armed security guards to watch over him 24 hours a day.
17:21But even with such tight security, he still couldn't feel at ease. The CJNG is known for its ability to
17:28fight back. Even against elite hitmen and some military units themselves. If they can do that,
17:35private security is just a small obstacle. Because of intense fear, Fofo didn't leave the house for
17:41several days. He even avoided going near the windows because he was afraid there might be a sniper waiting
17:47for him. He always carried a two-way radio so he could quickly ask for help in case something unexpected
17:53happened. After a few months, he gradually returned to his normal life. But a video he made just for
18:01fame completely changed the direction of his life. And until now, he still lives under the shadow of
18:08that event. But if you think what Fofo did was brave, our next story, Illuminati 6, is even more intense.
18:166, the TikToker, known by the username Illuminati6, only said 6 words. But those were enough to cause
18:23intense controversy. Before making his TikTok account private, Illuminati6 was known for accepting
18:30various dares from his followers. One day, a netizen challenged him to insult El Mencho,
18:37the leader of one of the most dangerous cartels in Mexico. And he did it. In the video, he was
18:43wearing
18:43a black t-shirt, ripped black jeans, and had a backpack on his back. While leaning against a light
18:51post, he directly insulted El Mencho and uttered derogatory words. He didn't stop there. He also
18:59mentioned the names of El Tata and El Chanito de Culiacán, two young social media personalities who,
19:07according to reports, were killed after getting involved in issues related to the cartels.
19:12In the end, he even arrogantly said,
19:15I am immortal. You can't touch me. I have a deal with the devil. I'm not afraid of El Mencho.
19:22Many people couldn't believe his boldness. When their video spread on Reddit and X,
19:27formerly Twitter, many netizens thought he was a member of a cartel because he seemed to have
19:33no fear at all while even showing his face on camera. Next are the comments from people. Some said,
19:39RIP in advance, while others commented, this is the right way to suddenly disappear.
19:47Despite the noise caused by the video, there was no public response from El Mencho or the CJNG.
19:54According to some rumors on the internet, the TikToker in question does not live in Mexico.
20:00Instead, it is said that he is a resident of Richmond, California in the United States. If this is true,
20:07it would be more complicated for the CJNG to take direct action against him because this would mean
20:13they would have to conduct operations in foreign territory. That's why nothing happened immediately.
20:18But just a few days later, something unexpected happened. The young man uploaded another video.
20:25This time, he was no longer bragging. Instead, his voice was trembling as he apologized to El Mencho.
20:32He said, I'm asking for forgiveness for what I said. I wasn't in the right state of mind back then.
20:38I didn't think about the consequences. I only did that to gain more followers. Please forgive me.
20:43Please don't kill me. I have a family too, just like you. I just made a mistake. I also have
20:49mental
20:49health problems. I'm sorry. The internet was shocked by his sudden change in behavior. Just a few days
20:55ago, he was boldly challenging El Mencho. Now, he's almost begging to forgive him. Many netizens started
21:03to ask, did someone really threaten him secretly? Or maybe he just suddenly realized how dangerous the
21:09person he insulted really is. Until now, no one really knows what happened behind the scenes.
21:15After that incident, his TikTok account completely disappeared. Another video of him surfaced on a
21:22different account a few weeks later. But after that, there was no clear information about him.
21:27Up to now, it remains a mystery what really happened to the TikToker who dared to challenge one of the
21:33most
21:33dangerous names in the world of cartels. And you, do you think he just quietly disappeared?
21:40Or is there a deeper story behind his disappearance?
21:44Ostina Orestes? Earlier this week, the Jalisco New Generation cartel released a video where they
21:50directly threatened Ostina Orestes. In August 2021, the TikToker and news presenter Ostina Orestes
21:58was included in the list of people who allegedly angered the cartel. She became a target of the
22:05powerful cartel after the group accused her of being biased in her reports and allegedly supporting
22:11vigilante groups in Mexico. As a journalist, Ostina often reports on issues related to crime and
22:17violence in the country. Currently, her TikTok account has been made private. The situation became
22:23even more tense when a terrifying video was released by CJNG. In the said video,
22:30six armed men dressed in black and carrying automatic rifles can be seen standing, while
22:36another man is seated in the middle. That man introduced himself as a supposed representative
22:42of El Mencho and directly sent his message to Ostina Orestes. According to him, I am not against
22:49freedom of the press. I oppose those attacking me. He also said they will seek out Ostina for
22:54allegedly interfering with the fight for press freedom against me. It is not against freedom.
22:58They will identify Ostina because of her alleged tarnishing of their organization's name.
23:05Ostina's description of the so-called vigilante groups is said to be wrong. While these groups
23:10allegedly present themselves as protectors of the people, it was emphasized by the CJNG that they are
23:17also just an organization involved in the illegal trade. According to them, the vigilante groups
23:23attack different cartels to make themselves look like heroes in the eyes of the Mexican government.
23:28But in reality, they say both sides benefit from the illegal trade. The group also added that the
23:35kinds of weapons and ammunition used by the vigilantes are not something ordinary people can easily get.
23:42How? For them, only a cartel has the capability to possess such powerful weapons. And because of the
23:49viral threats, this has become a topic of discussion throughout Mexico. The government acted quickly.
23:56The president of Mexico at that time made a statement and assured the public that no one,
24:03including Ostina Oresti, should be afraid to speak the truth. According to his statement,
24:09it is the government's responsibility to ensure that no Mexican citizen will be afraid or threatened
24:15by anyone. The president's spokesperson also released an official statement in which he said
24:22that the government will take all necessary steps to protect members of the media who are
24:27freely performing their duties. Later, Ostina Orestes also spoke, saying that she is now under
24:34government protection and is not letting the threats affect her. Since then, she has continued
24:41with her life and her work as a journalist. No attacks have been reported. They may have dropped
24:46their threats, or they could be waiting for the right moment. No one knows, but one thing is clear.
24:51As a journalist, she continued with her life and work for years, while hundreds of journalists have
24:58become victims of violence. Up to now, there have been no reports of violence against her from various
25:05cartels. That's why, for some, the fight is difficult for her.
25:14She may just rely on government protection from these groups. For now, Ostina is speaking out.
25:19She continued like some social media personalities who openly clashed with certain people in her life
25:23and remained safe. Whether this will continue in the coming years, no one can say. But one lesson is
25:26clear in her work. It's possible that she is the only one openly confronting what is being spoken about.
25:32It's possible that giving in to fame or content is one of the most common decisions anyone can make.
