Khamenei's coffin carried through Imam Reza shrine before burial

The funeral procession for Iran's slain Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei reaches the country's holiest shrine early on July 10, 2026. Mourners carried the coffin through the Imam Reza shrine before Khamenei's burial. As a week of funeral events reached its culmination, Khamenei's son and successor Mojtaba Khamenei is still hidden from public view after being disfigured in the Feb. 28 strike that killed his father, a sign of the unease still gripping Iran.
