00:05in the Crimes Against Humanity case against former President Rodrigo Duterte,
00:10saying there are currently no matters requiring the court's attention before trial.
00:15In an announcement earlier today, July 10th, the ICC's Trial Chamber 3 said it had decided to cancel the conference
00:22after the parties and participants informed the court that they had no specific issues to raise
00:27at this stage of the proceedings.
00:30Status conferences are procedural hearings where judges discuss preparations for trial
00:35to address legal and administrative matters and ensure that both the prosecution and the defense
00:41are ready for the proceedings.
00:43Despite the cancellation, the ICC said the next status conference in the case remains scheduled for September 16th.
00:51Duterte's trial is expected to commence on November 30th.
