00:00A California family is starting over after their baby's nursery was destroyed when police say teens threw a lit firework
00:05into their home, and the terrifying incident was all caught on camera.
00:08It happened just days before the 4th of July and less than two weeks before the baby's due date.
00:11The mother of the child, Leslie Morgan, says she wasn't home at the time but received a notification from her
00:15security camera after a neighbor spotted smoke and flames coming from the house and began signaling to the camera for
00:20help.
00:21The father of the soon-to-be-born child, Anthony Kadena, was inside and used a hose to fight the
00:25flames through the nursery window until firefighters arrived.
00:27Security footage later showed two teens allegedly lighting a firework and tossing it into the nursery.
00:32Police say three juveniles have since been arrested and are facing multiple felony charges, including burglary, aggravated arson, arson, and
00:38conspiracy.
00:39Leslie says she was devastated and couldn't imagine why anyone would do something like that.
00:42She also claims she recognized the teens immediately, alleging they had previously bullied her daughter and had made attempts to
00:47fight.
00:47Fire destroyed nearly everything the family had bought or received for their newborn, and anything that wasn't burned was contaminated
00:52by smoke, forcing them to replace it all just days before welcoming their new baby.
