00:00Before there were cities, before there were people, before there was even time, there was
00:04only darkness. And into that darkness, a single voice spoke, and the universe began.
00:10Today, we open the book of Genesis, the story of how everything started.
00:15Introduction. Welcome to the first episode of our journey through the book of Genesis.
00:19Genesis is not just the beginning of the Bible, it is the beginning of existence.
00:24It answers questions every human has asked. Where did the world come from? Why are we here?
00:29Who created everything? And what is humanity's purpose?
00:32In this episode, we explore Genesis chapter 1, the full story of creation, step by step,
00:39in a simple and engaging way. Day 1. Let there be light.
00:44Genesis begins with a dramatic scene. In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.
00:50The earth was shapeless, covered in darkness and empty. Then God spoke the first words recorded
00:56in scripture, let there be light. And instantly, light pierced the darkness. God separated the
01:02light from the darkness and named them day and night. This moment tells us something powerful.
01:08God creates by speaking, showing his authority and power.
01:11Day 2. The sky on the second day.
01:13God created the expanse. The sky.
01:16He separated the waters below from the waters above, creating the atmosphere.
01:20This prepared the world for life. Imagine the formation of clouds, the shaping of the blue
01:26sky, and the beginning of weather. All done through God's command. Day 3 land, seas and all
01:33vegetation. On the third day, God gathered the waters into the seas, and dry land appeared.
01:38He called the land earth. Then something amazing happened. God commanded the earth to produce plants,
01:45trees, and all vegetation. Every type of plant, from small grass to giant trees, came into existence.
01:52Not by evolution, not by chance, but by God's will. This shows God as the giver of life and order.
01:58Day 4, sun, moon, and stars on the fourth day. God created the greater light, the sun, to rule the
02:06day.
02:06And the lesser light, the moon, to rule the night. He also placed stars across the universe.
02:12These celestial bodies were not gods, as many ancient cultures believed.
02:18Genesis makes it clear. They are simply creations to mark seasons, days, and years.
02:23The message is simple. The universe is not divine, but the one who created it is.
02:28Day 5, marine life and birds, on the fifth day.
02:32God filled the oceans with creatures, from the smallest fish to the largest sea monster.
02:36He filled the sky with every kind of bird.
02:38Then God blessed them and said, Be fruitful, and multiply.
02:43This is the first blessing recorded in the Bible, given to animals.
02:47Day 6, animals, and the creation of humanity.
02:50Day 6 is the climax of creation.
02:52First, God created all land animals, livestock, wild animals, and creeping creatures.
02:58But then comes the most important moment in Genesis.
03:01Let us make man in our image, after our likeness.
03:04Humans were created in the image of God.
03:07This means, we can think and reason.
03:10We can choose.
03:11We have moral responsibility.
03:13We have spiritual capacity.
03:15We were made for relationship with God.
03:17God created male and female, and gave them authority over all creation.
03:21Then God blessed humanity and said, Be fruitful, multiply, and fill the earth.
03:26Humanity is the crown of creation, not just another creature.
03:29But beings made with purpose, value, and destiny.
03:33Day 7, God rested on the seventh day.
03:36Day 7, God rested.
03:37Not because he was tired, but because he completed his masterpiece.
03:41The seventh day became a symbol of rest, peace, completion, order.
03:47It teaches us that life needs rhythm, work, and rest.
03:52Conclusion Genesis 1 is not just a story.
03:54It is the foundation of everything we believe about God, creation, and humanity.
03:58It teaches us.
04:00God is powerful.
04:01God is intentional.
04:02God brings order out of chaos.
04:05Human life has meaning.
04:06The world was created good.
04:08In the next episode, we will step into the Garden of Eden, meet Adam and Eve, and uncover
04:14the mystery behind the first temptation, the moment that changed the world.
