00:09This over allegations that he is involved in the flood control mess.
00:13Tulfo says in his statement, the respondents made defamatory statements against him in public.
00:17He adds, allegations streamed on social media subjected him to, quote,
00:21unnecessary public contempt, ridicule, and disrepute.
00:24In June, Tulfo filed an oral defamation complaint against three of Co.'s former bodyguards
00:29for claiming he received flood control project kickbacks and was involved in sex trafficking.
00:33This time, the complaint includes two more former security aides, Geron Valderrama and Bernard Gumban.
00:39The former bodyguards made the allegation during a supposed Blue Ribbon hearing
00:43led by Senator Pia Cayetano on June 4,
00:46later dubbed by Senate President Sherwin Gachalian's majority as bogus.
00:50Senator Irwin Tulfo has chaired the Blue Ribbon Committee since June 3.
