08:38like a lot throwing a lot on sigourney when honestly i don't think she is the leader she deserves
08:43to be part of that mary is innocent in the situation at all i don't want to beat that

09:51a lesson i learned very early on in this industry is that personality sometimes will take you a lot
09:56further than any other talent that anyone could ever possess in this industry and her personality

13:25for this week's challenge you'll all be heading to the high seas
13:29in our ghost ship of glamour challenge your task is to conceptualize and create a unique look
13:37based on a glamorous ghost ship theme imagine a luxury cruise liner that was lost at sea
13:42forever drifting in the waves and haunted by the dismal souls who were lost aboard for all eternity
13:50i want to stress that glamour is one of the four tenets of dragula so it's absolutely necessary
13:56this week for you to serve us g l a m o u r in abundance there's also a very
14:03special surprise to
14:04this challenge you will need to choreograph and perform a hauntingly beautiful lip-sync show
14:09to our new song wicked love
14:14which you can find streaming now on music platforms everywhere the winner of this challenge will receive
14:21a one thousand dollar special effects makeup shopping spree to premiere products which is one of the
14:26world's most prestigious special effects makeup companies whoever loses will die oh and there's
14:34also a fright feat this week for this week's fright feat you must search out and find the key to
14:40life and
14:41death that has been hidden in the boudoir whoever finds the key will be able to use its powers to
14:48either
14:48save themselves from extermination or to put someone of their choice up for extermination this week
14:55i can't think of anything more terrifying than potentially up a performance to our new song
15:01so we'll release you back to the boudoir to start looking for that key
15:06and remember for one of you this floor show will be your last

20:32so the challenge this week is ghost ship glamour and i wanted to give the illusion of
20:40water without actually like covering myself in water or being wet so i picked these fabrics and
20:46i wanted to do things that were like iridescent and flowy to make it like ghosty and i'm trying to
20:51do something that's very like airte inspired it's getting there it's getting there but it's not quite
20:56there yet i'm excited that it's a lip sync this challenge because i love to perform and it's definitely
21:02one of my strong suits i hope it's not another group challenge oh my god do not make it a
21:08group
21:08challenge please is it i think because people think that this challenge is such like a glamour
21:16centered challenge you should go maybe more humanoid but this probably will be my most creature-esque
21:22drag that i've presented yet she's not going to be like an evil monster she's going to be more like
21:28a god of the ocean watching over humans she's going to be very glamorous but also she's going
21:33to have this grace to her this is very very eastern looking and i'm really excited this is a
21:39my favorite garment that has ever been put on my body so i'm very excited so for ghost ship glamour
21:46since apparently i'm the fashion queen of the season didn't see that coming i just like fun shapes
21:52i am doing like the captain of the ship like this is my ship that you are goes on right
21:58now i'm
21:58currently using an adhesive and i just have a bunch of stones and i'm just putting them in like
22:05sticking them on it's this technique that uh pageant queens use called junk stoning when you have to stone
22:10something really quick instead of using rhinestones you just use beads and you smear them on and it creates
22:15this barnacle-esque effect and i've also like done that on the hat and also the hair has that as
22:21well
22:22just it makes it look like i'm covered in barnacles and wet i was kind of inspired by a loungy
22:28kind
22:29of singer and i kind of imagined her falling off the ship and kind of being covered in coral and
22:35just
22:35like all the barnacles and things at the bottom of the sea i kind of love how the fabrics also
22:39kind
22:39of read where she almost got like wrapped up in sails and stuff like that i said i was going
22:43to do
22:43something small and simple and then here we are i definitely want to start putting myself out there and
22:49make sure that i am very present in this competition it's so important after getting
22:52the critiques last week my voice is going to be heard i'm definitely not going to be fading away
22:56anytime soon because i want to be here and i'm ready to fight for it so my inspiration is a

23:03little 80s movie ghostbusters i like how the ghosts were all blue and ethereal looking so i'm doing
23:10blue scale i'm gonna do like completely shades of blues and grays and things on my face and my
23:17whole body and everything so right now i am shredding my gown a bit with this serrated knife
23:25to uh give it a little bit more of a haunted feel you know what it is technical this is
23:32no i actually googled like a lot of distressing techniques before i came here and this is like
23:38a really popular one bitch i've got a knife don't suck with me at the same time i'm working on

23:44costume i'm trying to uh figure out the lyrics to this song which is fantastic but yeah i'm terrible at
23:51learning words quickly so i'm just trying to figure them out and write them down and get

35:06that i kind of want to check on where you think everybody is at right now because i'm starting
35:10to focus a little bit on betty okay i don't know i'm almost like she's plateauing although i think
35:17she looked flawless tonight it's one thing to do decent in the competition and to be an amazing
35:21drag artist but can you snatch the crown of dragula and if you can't as we get closer we need
35:26to
35:27kill all those people you know because that's what the game is right of course that the thing is is
35:32it's like dragula requires a certain set of skills and a certain style that maybe not all of them
35:39have at this point but also like a certain amount of ferocity and focus right and that's why they
35:44need our special brand of love tonight because the race isn't over and there may be a few people that
35:48are lagging in the competition and we can give them the tough love that they need jade is still
35:54in the background a little bit to be honest with you but tonight was good for her i thought that
35:59she made a lot of really smart decisions i don't think tonight was her worst night by any means no
36:02no i'm looking at like the bigger picture you know i'm looking at where they've come from and what
36:07their potential to continue is you know and i'm just missing that punk wild energy from her like
36:13she's very like five six seven eight and she's very presentational on stage yes and she fits in well
36:17here but if she can't break that pageantry i don't know that she will be able to keep continuing
36:23dragula is hard i mean you have to fire off on all pistons and i think that they're starting
36:29to melt down you know the pressure is starting to get to them they're starting to turn on each
36:33other which i hate to see they may be melting down but no one is melting down more than i

37:18your drag drag is art and art is subjective what we are judging you on is your drag as it

37:24to this competition and the challenges that we've put before you this challenge had an added layer of
37:30intensity as you are performing to our newest song wicked love and to mess that up would have
37:36catastrophic consequences with that being said jade please step forward
37:45this week you found the key of life and death this gives you the power to save yourself or put
37:52one of
37:52your fellow competitors up for extermination jade how do you wish to use the keys power
38:02um i came in today kind of going back and forth i thought i had made a decision and sometimes
38:09people
38:09think that i'm not a player and i can't make strong decisions but i think that i'm standing up here
38:15amongst incredible people are working very very hard and the only person that i think is coasting along
38:19currently is betty so i would like to put her up for extermination
38:29betty due to the key you are up for extermination tonight
38:36i'm pissed that jade put me up for extermination but kudos to her for finally being a real
38:41bitch i honestly felt that betty was going to be in the bottom regardless she is changing everything
38:48about herself rather than being confident in being bitter betty that she brought here jade now that the
38:54key has shifted the rankings you are safe you may leave the stage thank you the rest of you represent
39:04the
39:04weakest and the strongest spirits in tonight's ghost ship challenge the judges would like to offer
39:09you some critiques and we will start with saint what i love about this look is that where other
39:15contestants went for passengers you went for a member of the crew the silhouette of that outfit is
39:21very striking to me and your movement reminded me of the german silent horror films kaligari nosferatu
39:26that stuff is very cool this look is giving me all of the fabulous fashions from seven fathoms down
39:32there's so much going on from the cut of the coat the high waist all of the buttons this dramatic
39:37hip
39:37i would still like to see a little bit more expression in your movement you hit some of
39:41those dramatic notes but not all of them i find it a little hard to see your facial expressions from
39:46behind your wig and i know there's a lot going on there so it's a shame to hide it as
39:50beautiful as
39:51the look is i have an issue with the shoes i don't like the shoes at all as far as
39:56the performance goes
39:57i could get a little more energy from you that maybe is your achilles heel in a way but i
40:02think you did

43:54to use a prop on stage make sure it works so when you went to rip your pearls and they

43:59that was sort of a malfunction that's hard to overlook at this point in the competition i did
44:03notice a few mishaps in some of the pickups on the lip sync i think you did have that microphone

44:08allowed you to sort of like cover up those little mishaps which i'm no stranger to but it's my job

44:13pay attention when you're doing the body makeup the details are in like behind the arms or when your
44:18gloves move in the gag of like ripping off the pearls what it revealed was like a flaw in the
44:22makeup
44:22application it had like come away and it rubbed it off just those small things really matter at this
44:27stage because there are six very hungry sharks in the water fighting to be out in front so those
44:33little mistakes do count thank you all right zavaleta hi the tone of the song is a little slower
44:40and i felt you were a little too fast in the beginning it was a choice i don't think it
44:46was
44:46necessarily bad but i would like to see you perform a little slower but i do think you look fantastic
