Former Afghan bowler Shapoor Zadran passed away
Former Afghanistan fast bowler Shapoor Zadran has passed away at the age of 38 following a lengthy illness.
One of the early stars of Afghanistan cricket, Zadran took 80 international wickets in ODIs and T20Is during his career from 2009 to 2020. He made a major contribution to Afghanistan's rise in international cricket and played an important role in the team's memorable victory over Scotland at the 2015 ICC Cricket World Cup.
The Afghanistan Cricket Board paid tribute to Zadran, describing him as a source of inspiration whose achievements and dedication will continue to inspire future generations of Afghan cricketers. Rest in peace, Shapoor Zadran.
