House private prosecutor Atty. Benjamin Tolosa Jr., in a press conference on Wednesday, July 8, maintained their position that a conditional threat does not make it any less unacceptable.

00:00Good morning po. I-follow ko lang po yun doon sa banta ni B.P. Sara.
00:26So first of all, to be accurate, I think the witness himself repeatedly stated that nung tinatanong ho siya about
00:33dun sa mga relevant na portions ho nung interview, sinabi din ho niya yan.
00:39Yung party na yun, bago siya sumagot. At pagkatapos, yung buong statement ho niya yan.
00:46So nailad naman yun. And if the defense would want to emphasize that, they're free to do so. They can
00:51do that during cross-examination.
00:53But our position remains, that condition does not make the threat any less unacceptable.
01:04Again, as pointed out by Kong Ziya, this threat was made by no less than the person who will benefit,
01:13should it be carried out.
01:16It was made against the highest officer of the land by the person who will benefit if it happens.
01:25Dadagdag ko lang. Remember, even before that response to a question during the Zoom conference,
01:32there were already interviews and statements by her indicating that it's already that pattern.
01:38Puputulin ng ulo, di ba?
01:42Huhukain yung dating Pangulong Marcos, itatapon sa WPS.
01:48So, kanakapon po, pinresenta din po yan ng prosecution to prove that there is that pattern.
01:56Even prior to saying, to making these grave threats during the actual Zoom interview ng Vice President.
02:06But be does it mean, whatever context, whatever reason there may be, grave threats should not be tolerated.
02:16Whatever the consequence involved, whatever the circumstance, or yung sinasabi nilang context, para maintindihan daw.
02:26So, contracting an assassin and having reached an agreement with an assassin is in itself a violation of the Constitution
02:35being the second highest official in the land.
02:38That alone, again, that alone is an impeachable offense.
02:42So, it's regardless whether the context is, you know, because there's a rumor or a plan to eradicate a certain
02:51family,
02:52that does not even give justification to, you know, to threatening the president,
03:05who is the commander-in-chief, the head of government, and the head of state,
03:09who, by the way, if that happens, she would be the one to stand to benefit from that.
