00:09The president says the current helicopters are about 40 years old and that the new Sikorsky
00:13S-76 aircraft are long overdue, but they are very powerful and could do some real damage to the grass
00:19on the White House lawn where the choppers typically land. Well, they're about two and a
00:24half times more powerful than the old ones. And when you land on the grass, it's not that the
00:29grass gets discolored. It gets ripped out. So I said, has anybody ever thought of a helipad?
00:35Because I build them and they go quickly and solves all of the problems. So now we're building a
00:42beautiful helipad and it's got the seal of the White House on it in granite, in carved granite.
00:48The president also noted that Sikorsky is footing the five to six million dollar bill for its
00:53construction. So out with the old and in with the new Marine One helicopters and new helipad
00:59and don't forget the new Air Force One.
