Some city traditions are best captured from the curb, where the pace and pageantry do the talking.

From a sidewalk viewpoint, different parade groups march along Fifth Avenue as spectators line the street and watch them pass.

The filmer, Halina, told WooGlobe, “I attended the St. Patrick’s day parade on 5th Avenue in NYC and filmed different groups participating in the parade as they went by me.”

The procession continues in an orderly flow as one unit follows another up the avenue.

The steady rhythm of the march turns a busy New York block into a shared moment of routine celebration.

By the time the next group arrives, the street already feels set for the day’s next beat.
