00:00All right, so house goes here.
00:02Garden here, stable there, and a swing.
00:07I always like to say that this show
00:08is a love story about a family.
00:11Did you find someone to help build the house?
00:14Yes.
00:15This will be our new forever.
00:17The first season is inspired by Little House
00:20in the Prairie, which is actually the third book
00:22in the series.
00:23It comes after Little House in the Big Woods and Farmer Boy.
00:26What do you think?
00:27Look, here we are.
00:30I always thought these books are very kind of sneaky way
00:34of how did America become America?
00:37I fell in love with the script when I first read it.
00:39I just thought, oh, this is special.
00:41This is the type of adaptation I would want to be a part of.
00:43Hope is everything.
00:44It's the only thing.
00:47Laura really pulls you in.
00:49She leaps before she thinks, and she's imperfect,
00:52but she also stands up for what she thinks is right.
00:55This is probably my dream role.
00:57I don't think I had ever imagined portraying Mary in any sort of way.
01:02My sister said I was a fool to leave everything and everyone I ever knew
01:05and follow you into the dark.
01:07It's a very daunting journey that they're on.
01:10I think Caroline is craving something much bigger,
01:13and I don't think she even knows what that is, but it's why she loves Charles so much,
01:17because he's sort of this fearless vagabond.
01:19The journey to independence means everything to Charles.
01:24He's always learning along the way that it's really hard to do it by yourself.
01:27the start of this new life for him and his family.
01:30It's not going to be all rainbows and lollipops.
01:33On a place like the prairie, where there aren't people for miles,
01:36they have to stick together and watch each other's backs and protect each other.
01:40So I think that's made them really close.
01:42So they love each other throughout everything.
01:44I'm building a house.
01:46He said you might be willing to trade some work.
01:48We're talking about a time when people couldn't get by without each other.
01:50The thing I like about John Edwards is when we first meet him in our show,
01:55he's not necessarily his best version of himself, yet he sees possibility and he sees hope,
01:59which is this beautiful underlying theme of our entire show.
02:03This Osage man, everything here belongs to him.
02:06I saw what they were doing with Little House on the Prairie
02:09and how they were bringing in the Osage family.
02:11I hate to lose everything we built here.
02:13Everyone on this cast, they're just all amazing.
02:16One of my favorite parts of this show is the fact that how well cast this show is.
02:22I was blown away by the attention to detail.
02:25The storytellers on every level of this production has been incredible.
02:29Thank you for your kindness.
02:31That's what essentially the story is, people coming together because we need each other.
02:35It's all explored through people, people and their relationships
02:38and what they're going through and how they're growing emotionally.
02:43That's an opportunity for us to sort of take a look at ourselves in this moment in time.
02:48And now we're home, safe and sound.
02:54I want to know.
02:56We get a look at ourselves next time.
02:58We'll see you again next time.
02:58Bye.
02:58Bye.
03:03Bye.
03:03Bye.
03:03Bye.
03:04Bye.
03:04Bye.
03:06Bye.
