00:00Tony Steer of Campfield Road in Greenwich was convicted of racially aggravated assault for attacking Nathaniel Bohr on the 13th
00:10of December last year.
00:11His defence lawyer from IBB Crime, who would not give his name, had requested an adjournment due to his client's
00:20mental health to resolve issues around potential professional embarrassment and because there may be an application for the sentencing to
00:29be heard privately.
00:30District Judge Mark Jabbitt adjourned sentencing to the 14th of May as an advocate could provide information on Steer's mental
00:38health.
00:39The request for closed court proceedings followed quote-unquote social media posts suggesting revenge against the lawyer's client.
00:49The defence barrister said Steer's trial last month heard how he approached Mr Bohr and a friend as they waited
00:57for an Uber outside the venue on the opposite side of the road.
01:01The court heard Steer then twice asked Mr Bohr if he was Jewish and then punched him in the jaw.
01:10Steer then walked down the road and jumped over a fence while Mr Bohr called the police.
01:17Mr Bohr told the court how his jaw was painful for weeks and his teeth were painful for a number
01:24of days after the alleged incident.
01:26Well, that's it.
01:28Let's talk about the pen piece.
