Indonesian Air Force's fighter jets accompanied Prime Minister Narendra Modi's plane as he entered the Indonesian airspace. PM Modi on Monday arrived in Jakarta for the first leg of his three-nation tour aimed at further strengthening of India's Act East policy.

00:06Cutting across to some breaking developments, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has arrived in
00:10Indonesia for the first leg of his three-nation tour aimed at further strengthening of India's
00:15ACT East policy. The Mahasagar vision and his commitment to the free, open and inclusive
00:22Indo-Pacific is on the radar. The Prime Minister was also welcomed by Jakarta at the Jakarta
00:27airport by Indonesian president. Additionally, the fighter jets from the Indonesian Air Force
00:34accompanied Prime Minister's plane for the first time as he entered the Indonesian airspace. He also
00:39met with Indian diaspora in Jakarta and received a grand cultural welcome there.

00:58significant.
00:58Sunil, Indonesia is neighbour of India in the Indian Ocean region, a strategic partner since
01:032018. And this visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, which has a hugely significant agenda,
01:08not only in terms of our strategic ties with Indonesia, but in terms of our trade ties,
01:14in terms of our economic cooperation, energy cooperation, and in fact, a possible sale of
01:19BrahMos supersonic missiles to BrahMos. Prime Minister Narendra Modi's agenda in Indonesia is quite
01:25significant, not only in terms of our economic ties, but also in terms of our civilizational ties as
01:31well, because in his three-day stay in Indonesia, Prime Minister Modi will also be visiting the
01:38Prambanan temple, almost thousand-year-old Shiva temple in Yogyakarta region of Indonesia. And in fact,
01:45both India and Indonesia have decided to strengthen the economic partnership. And in fact,
01:50India and Indonesia shared their independence day, almost with the difference of one day in the same
01:59month of August of 1947. And in fact, there have been close ties between both these countries and
02:05President Subyanto, Prabowo Subyanto received Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the tarmac along with the
02:12four ministers. Indonesian fighter jets escorted Prime Minister Modi's aircraft to the Indonesian airspace.
02:17This clearly shows that Indonesia attaches significant importance to Prime Minister Modi's visit. And
02:23in fact, both these countries have decided to strengthen their strategic and economic ties in
02:28terms of critical mineral, in terms of the defense partnership, in terms of mutual investment. And
02:34there are a lot of things which both these countries can share with each other from Atmanir Bharat to
