00:00Hi, Mewtwo, and today on Sudatsuya, I'm going to show you how to make a 5-minute egg dish
00:05called niratama.
00:08Start by cracking 3 eggs into a bowl and giving them a quick whisk to break up the yolks.
00:24Next we're going to flavour them with Β½ teaspoon of oyster sauce, ΒΌ teaspoon of
00:29chicken bouillon powder, ΒΌ teaspoon of salt, Β½ teaspoon of sugar, and a pinch of ground
00:35black pepper. Whisk one small and then set the bowl by the
00:39stove for later.
00:44Next heat up a wok on high and add 1 tablespoon of cooking oil. Once it gets hot, add 50
00:50grams
00:51of garlic chives, I'll just cut them with kitchen scissors to save time.
01:00Stir fry them for 30 seconds to help them release their flavour.
01:04In Japanese, the garlic chives are called niratama, an extra tamago, which is how the dish gets
01:10the name.
01:10After 30 seconds are up, transfer them to a bowl of eggs and return the wok to the heat.
01:21Add another tablespoon of oil and give the eggs another mix before pouring them into the wok.
01:29Scramble them to your preferred doneness.
01:33The tip to perfectly fluffy scrambled eggs is to take them off the heat before they're
01:38completely cooked, as they will continue to cook in the residual heat.
01:43Okay, this looks good, so let's take it off the heat and serve.
01:47Finish the dish with a drizzle of sesame oil and a sprinkle of Japanese chili pepper called
01:51shichimi togarashi. You can serve this on its own as a side, or even as a rice topping
01:56for donburi.
01:57And great news, I've launched a free mobile app that makes following along with my recipes
02:02even easier. It's the perfect kitchen companion after watching my videos. You can access step-by-step
02:08instructions right on your phone while you cook. The download link is in the description
02:25below.
02:26Thank you again, and I hope to see you in the next one.
