Following the wild success of Barbie, Mattel is bringing another iconic IP to the big screen with Travis Knight's Masters of the Universe. The movie stars Nicholas Galitzine as Adam Glenn / He-Man, with the actor putting on a ton of muscle to look superhero fit. It turns out he almost rocked the character's signature bob, with Galitzine telling CinemaBlend why they decided to change up his hairdo for the big screen.

What we know about Masters of the Universe has been fairly limited, but the cast chatted with CinemaBlend's own Jeff McCob ahead of the movie's release. As you can see in the video above, Nicholas Galitzine was asked about He-Man's cartoon bob, with the Idea of You actor.

00:00Man, I was really looking forward to the bangs, so...
00:02Well, I should have kept it, is that what you're saying?
00:05That's what I'm saying. Take me through the whole experience with the bangs,
00:08and how you came to your final look.
00:12Final form, final bang form.
00:14I mean, look, we obviously talked about hair a lot,
00:20and He-Man's Bob is obviously very, very iconic,
00:25but in a live-action setting in the story that we wanted to tell,
00:30it didn't make as much sense.
00:32So the thing that I certainly had in mind
00:36was something that felt a little Herculean,
00:39sort of heroic in a way,
00:42but also something that we could kind of evolve, you know,
00:46because obviously when we meet Adam on Earth,
00:49the hair's a little greasier, it's a little flatter,
00:51it's got a little less life in it,
00:53and so we decided to kind of create this evolution
00:58to, I guess, mimic Adam's growing sense of power and self.
01:05It looked great. I mean, it would have been a funny moment for Tila
01:08to be like, what's with the bangs, you know what I mean?
01:10Yeah, yeah.
01:10Thank you, Rachel.
01:10I don't know.
01:10You know, I've always had a great idea.
01:11Thank you, thank you.
01:13Thank you, Dan.
01:13I don't know.
