00:01A McDonald's restaurant in Venezuela has been transformed into a makeshift field hospital
00:06following the deadly twin quakes that struck the country's northern coast.
00:10Located in Carabaleta, La Guayra, the restaurant has been converted into an emergency medical center,
00:17treating everyone from injured survivors to pets.
00:20Doctors, paramedics and volunteers have transformed the fast food outlet into a fully functioning treatment facility,
00:27with dining areas converted into triage zones, pharmacy spaces and treatment rooms.
00:32When we took a video of the installations, everything we were doing,
00:37we didn't have to take care of, but medical care to help people.
00:45And the McDonald's company and everything, the presidency has been a lot of work.
01:04The center is also caring for injured animals, with veterinarians setting up a temporary clinic inside the restaurant.
01:32The twin earthquakes, measuring 7.2 and 7.5 in magnitude, struck less than a minute apart,
01:39killing at least 2,295 people and leaving tens of thousands missing along Venezuela's northern coast.
