A McDonald's restaurant in Venezuela has been transformed into a makeshift field hospital following the twin earthquakes that devastated the country.

Located in Caraballeda, La Guaira, the restaurant has been converted into an emergency medical centre, treating everyone from injured survivors to pets.

00:06following the deadly twin quakes that struck the country's northern coast.
00:10Located in Carabaleta, La Guayra, the restaurant has been converted into an emergency medical center,
00:17treating everyone from injured survivors to pets.
00:20Doctors, paramedics and volunteers have transformed the fast food outlet into a fully functioning treatment facility,
00:27with dining areas converted into triage zones, pharmacy spaces and treatment rooms.
00:32When we took a video of the installations, everything we were doing,
00:37we didn't have to take care of, but medical care to help people.
00:45And the McDonald's company and everything, the presidency has been a lot of work.
01:04The center is also caring for injured animals, with veterinarians setting up a temporary clinic inside the restaurant.
01:32The twin earthquakes, measuring 7.2 and 7.5 in magnitude, struck less than a minute apart,
01:39killing at least 2,295 people and leaving tens of thousands missing along Venezuela's northern coast.
