00:59scared but Roatan could be that place that saves our marriage
01:46this is so nice vacation without the kids it's much needed so we have two kids our
01:52son is seven years old and our daughter is five years old crazy to think about such a drastic step
01:59but you know I think it's the right thing for us we did try reading books self-help counseling I

02:49Lloyd Oyuela I'm a Honduran I was born and raised in Tegucigalpa I love Roatan and I've seen it grow
02:56and develop and I'm excited to show this island to somebody who's coming with fresh eyes to get a new
03:02start are you excited I love it yeah we're ready for this change and all the new adventure Roatan is
03:09an island 40 miles off the north coast of Honduras we're lying along the second largest barrier reef
03:16in the world the Mesoamerican barrier reef it's actually very close to shore so you can snorkel on
03:22the most amazing turquoise waters this beautiful part where we're sitting at is between West End and
03:28West Bay the most famous touristy spots you're gonna find a mile long white sandy beach with
03:35beautiful all-inclusive resorts lining it up yeah I definitely want to stick to West Bay because it's
03:41close to all the restaurants and activities and part of coming here is going on dates and being
03:46romantic I mean I get what you're saying but if I feel like we can get better bang for our
03:50buck
03:51maybe a little east if you move a little further to Mid Island it's equally beautiful but a lot more
03:57residential one thing you know I was hoping to be was on the beach we could always just walk to
04:01the beach if we had a view that would be good too what will make you guys feel at home

04:07Roatan we want at least three bedrooms three bath yeah for sure we definitely want a pool especially
04:13if we're not right on the beach we want to be able to swim in terms of your styles what

04:18looking for I prefer a modern sort of minimalist I want more of like the Mediterranean look with like
04:25the tile roofs I would definitely prefer something furnished it would take a lot of the stress off
04:30of moving to another country what are you thinking in terms of budget we definitely want to keep our
04:35budget to 1 million I've given up my oil and gas job to come here which provided a sense of

04:42while we were living in Mobile we acquired some rental properties so we intend to use that income to live
04:49off of here in Roatan well you know if we get everything I think we could go a little bit

05:31like contemporary it's cool this one delivers on ocean views and a pool we're sitting on three
05:38quarters of an acre has two bedrooms two bath and a beautiful home that's valley inspired with

06:49in this kitchen this island is huge it's beautiful it is and it's got a little breakfast bar one thing
06:56about moving here is I want to get back in the kitchen and cooking for you and the kids and

07:07invited me over to her apartment she cooked like salmon and I thought it was amazing little did I know
07:12she doesn't really cook it was one of those meals that come like already prepared that you just kind

07:24second bedroom
07:25yeah it is a beautiful view from here let's go find where the baby making happens you mean the primary
07:31bedroom that's right okay his jokes they are kind of like cute in a way and a little over the

07:39sometimes but at the end of the day I love it and it brings a lot of fun into her

07:45I mean it's not as resort style as I had hope no and look at this that's not much privacy

08:01need more bedrooms the kids would have to share a bedroom so this is kind of open concept bathroom huh

12:54watching the sunrise that's an infinity pool too huh yeah I think that's a pretty good size it's not too

15:21think we can still consider the West Bay house but I think the Palmetto Bay house we definitely need to
15:25take off the table I'm just a little concerned about the location being mid-island and farther
15:30from everything and that drive would get old it's not worth the added stress you know at the end of

15:36day this is about both of us being happy let's continue our search yeah maybe I can learn a bit
15:42of Spanish is that good it's great we're going to be seeing a property today that's on a little strip
16:00of beach and we're like seven to eight minutes away from West End and seven to eight minutes away from
16:06West Bay we're in an area called the banks it's less commercial than West Bay but we also are very
16:13close to some of the most exclusive boutique hotels and restaurants here on the west side it actually
16:21comes with needed access to a dock which is a great perk you can catch those water taxis from the
16:27dock and go to the West Bay and West End areas without the traffic that sounds amazing the home
16:32is a three-bedroom three-bathroom it's listed at 1.22 million US dollars I don't like the sounds of
16:40that I'm definitely excited to see this property okay guys this is the only listing on the beach for the
16:53entire western part of the island so this already makes this home unique fair enough all right let's
16:58go oh wow look at that view this is awesome that's really amazing can you imagine just like walking in
17:12here every day to this oh man wow look at this view it feels like we're right on top of
17:18the water right
17:19now this is incredible a literal beach in our backyard yeah walking out on this beach we could
17:27have like picnics barbecue at the beach going sunset walks I mean it's endless Loida said we could walk
17:33to West Bay or West End that's nice yeah so this location being on the west end of the island
17:39is really
17:40perfect for us when we were in Mobile Alabama if we wanted to go out it was like a 20
17:45-minute drive
17:45being in walking distance to the bars to the restaurants is is great it's nice that the place
17:51has a pool yeah I like it this must be the living room this is nice I like the natural

19:11definitely suits us it gives us the opportunity to go there every day and there's so many restaurants
19:16activities we have so many places to go and explore the most important thing to me is beach access and

19:23also in the area Serena wants to be so that's a big deal I mean this house is amazing it
19:29has so
19:29much of what we want but I'm really concerned about the budget the budget the budget the budget like
19:35that's all I've been hearing it's time to put the budget aside and let's just like enjoy it we've been
19:41working like extremely hard this past year on our relationship and we only want that to continue to
19:47grow I think if we can both compromise on a house we can really continue to grow this
20:05relationship as you can see we went with the West Bay house the moment we walked in it just felt
20:10right you brought coffee thank you oh my god look at the view yeah this is amazing I love having
20:16our
20:16coffee and looking out and seeing the ocean we picked this West Bay house thinking we only needed
20:24three bedrooms but man I wish we would have found a house with four now because we're pregnant when we
20:33decided to come to Roatan we didn't have any thought about having a baby but things have been so good

20:39our love has been amazing moving here has definitely helped our relationship we've had lots of time to go
20:47out to lunch go on dates I think we're gonna catch the sunset tonight yeah it looks like we are

21:00it feels amazing knowing that Jordan will be around for the pregnancy the birth the difficult newborn
21:07stages you know I'm definitely excited to be taking this journey together this is beautiful yeah this
21:16whole move's been totally worth it it's 100% saved our marriage we are so happy here waking up every
21:23day it just feels magical in a way we're in such a good place as a family that this is
21:30going to be an
21:30exciting chapter
