00:00We are just days away from getting confirmation about whether Prince Harry will be joined on his upcoming UK trip
00:08by his wife Meghan Markle and his children Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
00:13However, while we still aren't 100% on whether Harry will bring his wife and children to the UK for
00:20his trip, we are understanding that several conversations are going on back in Blighty about who he may be allowed
00:28to see while he's there.
00:31Sources have claimed that Princess Kate is in the process of trying to encourage her husband, Prince William, to spend
00:38some time with Harry and, perhaps more importantly, his children Archie and Lilibet.
00:43Sources say that Kate is trying to point out to William that there has not been a huge amount of
00:48opportunity for their children to get to know their cousins because Archie and Lilibet have barely been able to travel
00:55to the UK since their parents moved to California six years ago.
00:59Now, we understand that Kate is willing to support William in whatever decision he makes.
01:04However, she is eager to try and take at least a little step towards mending the ongoing rift between the
01:10two brothers.
01:11However, other insiders have said that William is not willing to work his own feelings around Harry's timeline.
01:18People close to the prince have said that while he's aware Harry will be there, while he's aware that he
01:23might have the opportunity to spend time with his niece and nephew,
01:26he's eager to ensure that he only meets Harry and has it out with him when he is ready to
01:32do so.
01:33The reality at this point is that the rift between the two brothers has been going on for so long
01:37that it simply cannot be repaired by a quick meeting.
01:41William is understood to be very cautious about his interactions with Harry and is really eager to ensure that he
01:48goes into any meeting with his brother in the right frame of mind.
01:51That being said, King Charles is understood to be very eager to see Harry, Meghan and the kids if, that
01:58is, they all make it over for the trip.
02:00Now, for those who may have missed the news, Harry is due to be in the UK in order to
02:04mark the one-year countdown to the next Invictus Games,
02:07which will take place in Birmingham in July 2027.
02:11All eyes have been on the prince ever since this trip was announced, largely because there's been a will-he
02:17-won't-he question about Meghan and the kids' involvement.
02:21Prince Harry has been in an ongoing debate with the British government about his taxpayer-funded security,
02:27which was revoked when he and Meghan decided to step down from their roles as senior working royals.
02:33Harry has alleged that this decision was not really made out of any official capacity,
02:39but rather as a dig at him and his wife in order to make their travel to the UK more
02:45difficult.
02:46He has fought in court in order to have his taxpayer-funded security restored,
02:51arguing that it is unsafe for him, his wife and their kids to be in the UK without a high
02:57level of security.
02:58According to recent reports, Harry's recent request to have security on this trip was turned down,
03:05which once again raised questions about whether Meghan and the children would join him.
03:09So, we'll all have to wait and see on July 7th, when Harry arrives in the UK,
03:13if he is accompanied by his family or just his own security.
03:18While the royal family may be waiting with bated breath to see what Harry does,
03:22they're still managing to find some time to have a bit of fun behind closed doors,
03:27namely at the Palace of Holyrood, where King Charles hosted a dine-and-sleep event recently,
03:33which is effectively where members of the family get together, enjoy a delicious meal,
03:38and then all stay over at the palace.
03:40Honestly, it sounds very Princess Diaries to me, and I am here for it.
03:43In attendance were understood to be Queen Camilla, Prince William, Princess Anne, and Prince Edward,
03:49who were all in Scotland in order to celebrate the annual tradition of Royal Week.
03:53Needless to say, I have a feeling Prince Harry may be jealous that he missed out on that fun,
03:58because a sleepover at a palace sounds exactly like the kind of thing I'd like to do.
